Business Partners

A business partner can be any of the following: Accounts, Contacts and Employees Accounts: Corporate accounts (companies or organizations) Individual accounts (private individuals) Groups (any groupings, such as households)

Account Hierarchies: The account hierarchy allows you to map complex organizational structures of a business partner (for example, buying group, co-operative or chain of retail outlets). You can use the hierarchy for pricing. Pricing is carried out using conditions such as pricing arrangements that are stored at a higher level of an organizational structure and can be transferred to the lower levels. o Hierarchy Categories: A category that determines the usage of an account hierarchy. You define hierarchy categories in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Master Data Business Partner Account Hierarchy Define Hierarchy Category. o Account Hierarchy Nodes: Business partner groups represent hierarchy nodes in the account hierarchy. o Working with account hierarchy: Replicating ERP Customer Hierarchies to SAP CRM: Perform an initial load of the necessary Customizing settings from SAP ECC to SAP CRM. o Use R3AS in CRM Middleware and the Customizing object DNL_CUST_THIT.
