8. CDS offers Soft Skills


The CDS organises seminars, workshops and courses for the registered doctoral candidates in the following fields:
Management Business Economics Scientific Writing & Presentation Skills Intercultural Competence Professional Skills

SelfCommunication Management Languages Database Research Gender

Offering around 30 to 40 seminars, workshops and courses per 6 months with ca. 600 places exclusively for CDS members

9. Some Questions ...


? Is the participation in the CDS programme obligatory? The participation is stipulated in the Doctorate Regulations as required but not compulsary. ? Does the CDS award credits for the attendance in
seminars/workshops/courses? No, participants get a certificate of attendance.

? Can I also attend soft skills seminars offered by other institutions


than CDS? There is no obligation to gain knowledge at CDS seminars

? Is it compulsory to attend certain seminars and/or


a certain number of seminar days? You are not obliged to do so, but you should arrange your schedule with your faculty and with your supervisor!
