MN Historical Society (Created large box of history themes - for school library (comic-book presentation of MN history - predating graphic novels, combining artifacts, facts, maps, Teacher Guide, print workbook materials) Photo books on kid topics (EMC & St. Marys College Press-- approx 8-10 books/ concept through nal pages, including photo shoots) Creative Education Library Publisher: high-interest/low-vocabulary books As part of my husband and my developing house, Guild House, we developed approx 80 titles/year for this leading publisher in hi interest/low vocabulary on such areas as: Rock n pop stars sports gures political/ philosophical gures biographical series on famous people biographical features on young, not famous, people Authored over 40 of these titles in 4-year span; managed all editorial direction of these series. Creative Education, as childrens trade publisher As executive editor/editorial director for Creative Education, conceived of new library titles of classic short stories, study skills, etc.

Originated international team to do 20 classic fairy tales using internationally known artists (Etienne Delessert, Ivan Chermayeff, Seymour Chwast, Michael Hague) to reinterpret these tales for modern life * won Bologna Intl Bookfair awards 3 years.. This fairy tale series emerged into full-scale international partnerships in graphic/story presentations (childrens books for all ages). This line continues to expand and sell. Redpath Press Started own company with new idea: book-card (short stories not as long as a book and longer than a card) - 22 books in the line. Some authors: Kurt Vonnegut Willa Cather Somerset Maughn A.A. Milne P.G. Wodehouse Etc. AGS A series on Critical Issues for middle school & high school students. An attempt to marry creative concept and graphics (famous people/thinkers views of big issues teens deal with-- suicide, divorce, self esteem, teen pregnancy, etc.) for students to use in reading/ writing skill development. Columbia University 1. At the Center for Social Imagination, turned academic material more graphic and readable; 2. Brooklyn High School Board of Ed, turned teachers home-made curriculum into more professional curriculum (novel Taste of Salt for use with ESL students in 1998, still in use)
