were (and still are) expecting Elijah to return before the end times.)

MARK (2)

two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country.
They went away and reported it to the others, but they did not
believe them either.
Afterward He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining
at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of
heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after
He had risen. And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the
gospel to all creation. How did he appear in a different form and why?
How are the disciples supposed to recognize him? If they couldn't who could?
Skeptical disciples. Preaching the gospel to all creation contradicts
Matthew 15:24)

17-8*** (These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My

name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;
they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will
not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

instructed them to tell no one what had happened. Apparently,
everyone who looks dead isn't necessarily dead. According to the

are they? Did no one condemn you? She said, No one, Lord. And

1 CORINTHIANS (1)

The rest of the Jews joined him in hypocrisy, with the result that even
Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy. Paul is opposed by
Jesus' Twelve Disciples, including Paul "The Rock" upon which Jesus
"built his church".)

supposed to mean? Clearly Jesus never claimed to be God, but
he was a servant of God.)

2 THESSALONIANS (1)

coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to
Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be
disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the
effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way

and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or
object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of

while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know
what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the
mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains
will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be
revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and
bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one
whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all
power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception
of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not

God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will
believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who
did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
