Product Correction Notice 1803P command line interface (CLI) to apply the Linux base serviceability update (SU) to all Linux elements. You must also apply the Base Web SU to the UCM Primary Security Server using the CLI (and Patchweb when available). The reason behind these instructions are due to the fixes that may be required to the Linux operating system (OS), Patch Deployment Manager or the underlying base patching framework to allow the Service pack installation to function correctly. If these instructions are not followed, this may result in a Patch activation failed error message. In general, as common practice, if the Service Pack contains the following SUs, they should be installed individually first before installing the Service Pack (These steps are required for new systems installation or when performing maintenance updates using the Linux SP Delta Tool or full SP download) cs1000linuxbasex.xx.xx.xxxx (New version only for SP update 21June2011) cs1000baseWebx.xx.xx.xxxx cs1000patchWebx.xx.xx.xxxx (when applicable) If the system targets already have the same or higher versions of the SUs provided with the Service Pack version, then it would not be necessary to apply them individually again prior to the SP deployment These SU's (when applicable) will also be included in the Service Pack to ensure they will be retained during next Service Pack update.

Special Instructions required for Installing the Release 7.5 Service Pack:
1) From the ESPL website, (http://support.avaya.com/espl) go to the Linux Service Packs menu Download the Linuxbase, SU (cs1000linuxbase7.50.17.161.i386.000 ) posted as an individual file on the Linux SP page. Download the BaseWeb version only if it hasnt been applied per the Service Pack dated 18Jan2011. (cs1000-baseWeb7.50.17.01-1.i386). There is currently no released version of the Patchweb applicaton SU for Release 7.5. Download the files individually to your desktop. (This info is highlighted as special instructions on the SP menu. These SU's (when applicable) are posted individually and downloadable from this location for your convenience so you will not have to extract from the SP first) 2) Next proceed to download the Service Pack (SP). The SP will identify the Date via the View Menu and within the SP file name (for example, Service_Pack_Linux_7.50_17_20110621). The date is applicable to the Service Pack Release date. NOTE: It is important to rename the SP zip file to a .ntl naming convention before patch deployment. Currently the SP posted on ESPL is a prebuilt bundle to improve download performance.
