More than 250 Publishers Sign on With Float Two Months After Launch

Float Apps Now Include Full Articles From CBS Money Watch, Engadget, Fast Company, Gawker, GOOD, Mashable, Talking Points Memo, Among Others
SAN FRANCISCO--September 12, 2011--Scribd, Inc. today announced that it has signed more than 250 publishers as featured content providers for Float, the companys digital reading service and suite of applications launched in July. We set out -- from the beginning -- to work in lock step with publishers, said Robert Macdonald, Scribds SVP of business development. We firmly believe that this approach ensures the best reading experience because it gives people full access to the content they want, while creating value and revenue opportunities for publishers. Content on Float is discovered through social feeds and through 20 interest-based categories. Float is a digital reading service and suite of applications designed to make it simpler and more fun to read news, blogs and documents from one app. Float users can find and organize sources and content in one place while connecting with friends and readers to discover reading recommendations on Twitter, Facebook and Scribd.
