Though not meant to replace traditional medical treatment, the emerald is extensively used healing and help fight all mental illness. The EMERALD is said to bring wisdom (understanding).

TOPAZ can be compared to knowledge as it might not seem attractive by the worlds standards to be brainy, but making good use of the intelligence God has given you is required as His child.

AQUAMARINE

is known for its ocean-like colors and can seem almost common. Advice/Counsel can be commonly given but be rare in its quality.

Like the OPAL, which must receive special tender care, we must develop and rely on the gifts of the Holy Spirit such as fortitude to help us remain as a treasure until we return home to heaven.

The AMETHYST is most familiar in the color purple, long regarded as a color reserved for royalty alone. The Church uses the color purple during the seasons of Advent and Lent, times where we are encouraged even greater to grow in piety.

The SAPPHIRE is the most precious of the blue gemstones and is highly regarded for its hardness, luster and color. Such should be our faith strong and clear. Let us have Fear of the Lord, and be fully aware of all that can be lost if we lose sight of the preciousness of our Catholic Faith.
