[1] Agriculture This department includes different altered types of regional crops and its farming type, fertilizers

needed for these different types of crops and their functions, the appropriate use of fertilizers to keep land fertility as it is, the developing concepts in agriculture like use of bio technology in protection of cops, use of green house technology in farming, loan available from nationalized banks and facility of Kishan Credit Card, use of chemicals for weed control etc. matters. It also includes that how to add value to farm product by processing and understanding of process for that and also that how to increase quality of seeds by processing them. In addition to that it guides about how to control pesticides at farm, use of farming tools, tractor, electronic machine etc. [2]Horticulture It provides Information of the different horticulture based crops and medicinal plants which can be grown in waste piece of land, grading of horticulture based crops, packing, value addition and about different plans to help farmers by horticulture department. [3]Animal husbandry This department provides information to people who are in the business of animal husbandry of animal like cow, buffalo, goat and sheep. It provides information about how to control disease of animal, which type of food is best for which animal, what to do to get more milk from cow, buffalo, goat and sheep etc.

[4]Fishery Now fishery is not limited to sea area only but it went to other areas to now more and more people are taking it as occupation. This department provides information about the methods of fishery as per the area and also about different Yojanas who provides monetary as well as non-monetary help. [5] This department mainly helps women of village area who can earn more in addition to they earn from animal husbandry and farming. It provides channel to market for their products and also gives information about different Yojanas of government about that.

Conclusion In our country 61% population depends on agriculture for their daily bread. This ratio is higher than average percentage by 15% which is 46%.If we see by geographical area our country is 7th in the world. If we look at the progress of last 4 decades, after independency, our country has been able to self-reliant in necessary stock of food grains. So it clearly indicates that our country has grown in agriculture sector but still the problem of increasing population and waste of land creates new problems and is like speedbraker to the growth. Gujarat is ahead in terms of agricultural land area and atmosphere suitable for that. It has 1600k.m. long seashore and very intelligent and hard worker people. But the only thing is that there is least awareness about ideal agriculture systems and methods. So Junagadh Agriculture University helps the peasants by educating and giving them training about farming. Junagadh Agricultural University is focusing to improve the livelihood of farmers and to commercialize farming as a profitable business, besides producing farm graduates. Junagadh Agriculture University helps farmers with new technology, new types of seeds and new techniques. It fuels the confidence of not only farmers but also the people who are in animal husbandry, fishery too. It helps the complete Sauvrastra region to increase their agricultural production and farmers to increase their living of standard with scientific techniques.
