Haazinu 2011

This week, right on the brink of the end of the Torah before it starts over, we come to a very interesting parshah that stands out in several ways. It is the parshah that always falls during the 10 Days of Awe (the time frame between the Feast of Trumpets/Yom Teruah & Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur) on the Sabbath known as Shabbat Shuva The Sabbath of Return. Not only does it hold a unique place on Yahwehs Calendar, but it also is distinct because its a song a song given by Yahweh to Moses to teach to the children of Israel. A song that is not to be forgotten but passed on, acting as a witness when we go astray and at the same time, a constant reminder of our Covenant. This portion is named Haazinu Give Ear! covering Deuteronomy 32:1 52. Deuteronomy 32:1-4 Haazinu from Ear: Strongs #238 azan to hear, to listen; to be sharp, acute, or pointed Its connected to the term for weapon #240 azen tools, implements, weapons, sharp weapons; used only once in Deuteronomy 23:13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: (referring to the shovel that would keep the camp clean in order for Yahweh to walk among them). Another cognate word is #239 azan to weigh, test, prove, consider, to ponder *Your ears should be sharp, as a weapon, weighing out and testing what you hear, covering up the filth that would make you unclean and unfit for Yahwehs presence! With this being in the time frame leading up to a divine appointment (Yom Kippur) the importance of this becomes very clear! *Adam is believed to have been created on Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets meaning the encounter with the serpent may very well have been in this timeframe leading up to Yom Kippur. Having not weighed out the words of the serpent and rejecting them, they are unclean at the divine appointment! One more term that shares these same roots is Strongs #3976 mozenim scales, balances. Its the 7th month that we are now in (Tishri) that is connected with the constellational sign of the scales/mozenim Libra! How well we have weighed out what we have heard now comes into play with our being weighed in the balances by Yahweh upon Yom Kippur! *Remember that words act as seed Yom Kippur is the inspection of the bridal candidates to see who is fit to enter into Sukkot, the wedding feast.

The gematria of Haazinu = 79 70 = 9 = is a 2 letter root that yields several words that fill out the picture of what the purpose is of this weighing in the balance. o #5842 et stylus, a pen, a writing instrument; used once to describe the writing of sins with a pen of iron. Its also a play on words with the word Et o #5844 atah to cover, enwrap, wrap oneself, to cover over o #5848 ataph to turn aside, to be feeble, weak, or faint o #5849 atar to surround, give a crown to, to crown The purpose of our being weighed in the balance is to see who is fit to wear the crown the Bridal Crown that is worn by the Bride on her wedding day/Sukkot (atar). If you have not been covered/enwrapped by the Et/Messiah (atah) then your sins will be written with a pen of iron (et) and will cause you to turn aside and grow faint during this time of testing (ataph)! Remember, at Yom Teruah the books are opened and at Yom Kippur the books are closed. * = eye, a well or a womb & to surround or encircle The ones who will wear the bridal crown are those who have had their womb surrounded/encircled, theyve kept it protected! They have weighed out the words/seed presented to them. 79 is also the gematria of Boaz! Boaz: Strongs #1162 Boaz fleetness, the Strong One who comes; the 2 letter root of his name #5795) )goat; used in reference to Yom Kippur in Leviticus 16:5 And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats (ez) for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. Boaz is also the name of one of the pillars in the Temple! It is no coincidence that this portion/song is written in the Torah scrolls in 2 columns/pillars! 1 Kings 7:15-16, 21 Remember that the Temple is built in the form of a man. These pillars when laid down become the legs, and the tops of the pillars/chapiters with pomegranates represent the loins where the seed of this man is housed. These pillars are also significant because they are marking the entrance into the Temple, into the presence of Yahweh. *Remember these pillars are being connected to the Haazinu/Song of Moses. Revelation 15:3-5 The song is connected with the Temple opening! This portion reveals to us how to gain access into the presence of Yahweh (into His Temple) where the Seed will be planted into His Bride. Its significant that we understand this at Yom Kippur the day when access was allowed into His presence, a divine

appointment, a day when we are weighed in the balance! Jachin: Strongs #3199 Yakiyn He will establish; from #3559 kuwn to be firm, be stable, be established. Gematria = 90, same as Mowliyd (#4140) begetter, progenitor; from #3205 yalad to bear, bring forth, beget, gender, or travail The names of these 2 pillars, Jachin & Boaz, declare that the seed/Word of the Strong One who comes will be brought forth and established! In order for this to take place, it means there must be a fit vessel to carry this seed/word of the Temple Man/Messiah. This is a very important reminder because this song deals with the judgments of Yahweh that come when we forget out Covenant become an unfit vessel, yet the promise is there that there will be one who is able to carry this seed! Pillars: Strongs #5982 ammuwd pillar, column; from #5975 amad to stand, endure, remain, take ones stand *Spelled with these same letters is Strongs #4129 mowda kinsman, relative; indicates a kinsman close enough to serve as a kinsman redeemer like Boaz did for Ruth. These pillars were 18 cubits high. 18 = chai life & Cubits: Strongs #520 ammah cubit; from #517 em mother *These two pillars (and the 2 columns of this song) teach us of the kinsman redeemer the Strong One who comes (Boaz) in order to establish His seed (Jachin) that will bring life (18) to the womb/mother/Bride (cubits)!

The Song
Deuteronomy 31:19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. Song: Strongs #7892 shiyr song; connected to #7788 shuwr to travel, journey, go; connected to #7789 shuwr to see, behold, observe, regard (*interesting that this word is connected because in Deuteronomy 31:18 Yahweh makes the statement and I will surely hide my face in that day) *Spelled with the same letters as yashar to be straight, upright, correct, or pleasing This song teaches us of a journey from one who is the adulterous/rebellious one to one who is upright and pleasing! The journey from the point where Yahwehs face is hidden to where He is seen and you behold Him again! This 3

same journey is made by Adam and Eve as well in Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of Yahweh walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh amongst the trees of the garden. Presence: Strongs #6440 paniym face; Yahwehs face is hidden because they choose to remove themselves. The word song has a gematria of 510, this is seen in Esther 9:12 And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; *In the book of Esther it is said that the face of Yahweh is hidden! Its also here that Esther (representing the Bride) must go through a transformation, from one content in pagan trappings to one who reveals herself as yashar upright and pleasing unto Yahweh! This is also the journey we are given the option of making at Yom Kippur becoming one who is upright in order to see His face and be a fit vessel to carry His seed or one who is content to remain rebellious. The upright ones will vanquish their enemies (as Esther did Haman), the rebellious will grow faint in the time of testing! Deuteronomy 32:6 Do ye thus requite Yahweh, O foolish people and unwise? [is] not he thy father [that] hath bought thee? Hath he not made thee, and established thee? *Established is the word kuwn the root of Jachin. Within this verse there is an enlarged letter that stands alone starting this verse. The sages have connected this enlarged to Genesis 2:4 where there is a diminished/smaller in the phrase when they were created balancing it out. Genesis 2:4 These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh Elohim made the earth and the heavens Generations: Strongs #8435 towledah descendants, results, proceedings, generations, genealogies, from #3205 yalad to bear, bring forth, beget, gender, travail Gematria of toldot: 400 (+ (( + 6 )( + 03 )( + 4 )( + 6 ) 846 = ( ,004 )the same as the plural form of muwth to die, death; 846 8+4+6 = 18, the numerical value of chai life! *A message of life or of death awaits us. Counting on what is brought forth from us during times of travail (Yom Kippur the words/the seed is brought forth depending on what weve given ear to/haazinu), will determine which results we receive. But once again theres the promise of the seed of Yahweh being brought forth because it has the prefix which is future tense meaning I will, you will, she will bring forth/travail!

Created: Strongs #1254 bara to create, shape, or form; in this passage it is conjugated as behibaream these same letters also spell beAvraham or in Abraham. Remember that it is Abraham and Sarah who have this exact letter added to their names upon entering into the Covenant! = this is a letter that is used to automatically call ones attention, it means revelation or to reveal something, the breath of YHVH (His breath which is released into His creation), also represents the feminine aspect in the Hebrew - something being given the ability to conceive and be fruitful. It has a value of 5 = grace At the beginning of the Torah (in Genesis) the diminished foreshadows the ability of creation to conceive and be fruitful being diminished! The revelation of Yahweh/His Word/Seed being removed when the Bride chooses to give ear to another word/seed, the Serpents. But in the portion Haazinu, this is enlarged teaching us of a restoration of the Word/Seed into the Bride making her fruitful and able to conceive! This exact picture is seen in the lives of Abraham and Sarah, once again causing us to understand that come Yom Kippur there would be a fit vessel/a fit bridal candidate! The very last statement of this song reveals to us without a doubt its purpose, Deuteronomy 32:43 Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, [and] to his people. Merciful: Strongs #3722 kaphar to cover, purge, make an atonement, or make reconciliation; root of kippur Land: Strongs #127 adamah ground, land; adam with the added letter representing the feminine adam/adam with the womb the Bride (the one taken out of Messiah) The last statement of the song of Moses teaches us that Yahwehs intent it to cover/purge/bring atonement to the womb of the Bride! That which was compromised is brought through these things in order to make her a fit vessel for the seed of Messiah again!
