Hello Daddy, the attached is for your information and possible input Sir.

Im greatly sorry Daddy for the delay in bringing it forward Sir. Its all about time constraint Sir. Thanks once again for the privilege Sir.

Need for Salvation Life is a journey leading to either eternal life with God or eternal perdition with Satan. What becomes of an individuals portion is entirely his or her choice. No one ends up in hell because he sinned. Neither would any make it to heaven because he did not sin. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Then, what qualifies a group for eternal life with God and another group eternal damnation with Satan? The answer is simple. The first group accepts forgiveness while the second group rejects forgiveness. The fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden brought about spiritual death separation between God and Man. Since fellowship with Man is core among the purposes for which God made Man, nothing would be spared for this to be restored. Mans spirit must need to be quickened again as God is Spirit and they that would worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth. God attempted this through some of our patriarchs but to no avail hence, the release of His only begotten Son to come and procure redemption for Man. All a man needs to appropriate this benevolence of God is to become born again. How does this happen? First of all, you acknowledge that you are a doomed sinner with the nature of Adam. Then, appreciate and embrace the redemptive work of Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. Whoever does the above and continues in the path of righteousness is sure of eternal life while whoever rejects it is doomed eternally John 3:6.

Spiritual Growth The way it is with physical birth whereby a new born babe must be properly nurtured to maturity for a worth while adult life, so it is in spiritual new birth. There are requisite knowledge you need to have as well as basic activities you might need to be put through to enable your spiritual growth into maturity. One of such activities is what this hand book is concerned with: Baptism. The word baptism is of Greek origin baptidzo meaning to dip or to immerse. Only three out of the various baptisms identified in the Scripture would be looked at in this hand book. These are: (1) Baptism into Christ a.k.a. baptism into the body. (2) Holy Ghost Baptism and (3) Water Baptism. Emphasis would however be on the third baptism above.

Baptism into Christ Baptism into Christ i.e. into the body of Christ is the first and it is the pre condition for any individual to experience the two other types of baptism above. This happens at conversion; when someone becomes convicted of his or her sins and decides to switch from the sinful life to a Christ like type of life. ( II Cor. 7 : 10; Gal. 3 : 27; Col. 3 : 9 11.

Holy Ghost Baptism The next is baptism in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongue. This is bestowed on the believer, in most cases, upon asking. ( Matt. 3 :11; John 16 : 7; Lk. 11:13). It can occur before water baptism as in the case of certain disciples in Acts 19 : 1 6 or after water baptism as in the case of the audience of Apostle Peter in Cornelius house. Acts 10: 44 48. But, certainly not before being baptized into the Body.

Water Baptism Water Baptism, from the scriptural point of view, is not sprinkling of water on an individual but the immersion or dipping of a believer into water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Examples of water baptisms recorded in the scripture affirm that it ought to be by immersion or dipping in rather than sprinkling of water on someone. John the Baptist at River Jordan baptized many individuals including our Lord Jesus Christ, Mk. 1: 9 10. When we read also from Acts of the Apostles 8:38, the encounter of Deacon Philip with the Ethiopian eunuch will confirm to us that water baptism for believers ought to be by immersion. The significance of immersion or dipping in is xrayed by Apostle Paul in Rom. 6:35. The immersion of a believer in water symbolizes the burial of his old being with Christ and as Christ was raised from the dead with new and incorruptible body, the believer is also brought forth from water with a new life in Christ. If any believer is therefore yet to experience water baptism by immersion, though once upon a time was sprinkled with water, he/she is yet to fulfill all righteousness'. Such individual must make him / herself available for the exercise without further delay.

Now answer the following questions: (1) (2) (3) Explain what you understand by new birth. Explain the steps involved in becoming a born again Christian. Give a vivid account of your new birth experience recounting the following: (a) (b) When it happened, Where it happened,
