Gerardo de Liseo Delegate of the President Regional Manager NSW Anti Discrimination Board 84 Crown St Wollongong, NSW 2502 Wednesday, 20 July 2011 Ref: 2011/0474 Dear Mr. de Liseo, I refer to your letter dated 19th of July. As requested, here is a more detailed comments-in-reply in answer to UOWs solicitors response to my complaint: 1. First id like to point out #8 and #9 under Complaint. Originally, in my complaint with UOW lodged against Stuart Sepp regarding a lapse in IT security at EdIT, i allege i had been excluded from the decision making process that effectively published the master-passwords of EdIT databases on the web. (See included response by Stuart Sepp). This included hundreds of UOW student passwords stored in an unsecured manner as well as user passwords on Prof. Lori Lockyers project MakingNewsToday. (In contrast, i cite Facebook for kosher security of personal info. http://www.facebook.com/policy.php specically claims to not store passwords). In the wake of the Sony PSN hacking scandal UOW have realized the severity of this IT security lapse and the embarrassment it may cause it if UOW students discover their passwords havent been stored securely. However, in her nal report Lynne Wright, the head of the EEO of UOW trivialized this complaint as being simply a work related disagreement that had been personalized by me. 2. In reference to #17.1 regarding the conict of interests at UOW arising when lodging a complaint against Prof. Lori Lockyer the wife of the Sen. Dep.V.C. John Patterson who overseas the EEO. Id like to point out that it was Prof. Lori Lockyer who in violation of my privacy alerted UOW management and Lynne Wright to my being schizophrenic. Furthermore, this was during UOWs investigative proceedings. Additionally, as my complaint with the NSW ADB is directed specically at Lynne Wright, id like to point out the person responsible for engineering the storage of EdIT user passwords without encryption was its former project manager, Rob Wright, the husband of Lynne Wright of the EEO of UOW. This may be regarded as a further conict of interest. 3. After lodging my complaint with the NSW ADB, there had been further developments in the workplace at UOW. I suggested to UOW management to err on the side of caution, having put in place security measures (to encrypt passwords) that

nally UOW students and users of Prof. Lori Lockyers project MakingNewsToday should be advised to reset their passwords. However, UOW management shutdown my UOW email, removed my ofce computer and restricted my access to UOW services and buildings having interpreted this as a threat. In contrast my co-worker Karl Rudd was not subject to this same action. This demonstrates further discrimination during the grievance process. (See email from Katrina Gamble). This is in reference to #12. I dont believe UOWs settlement offer to pay me out the remainder of my contract addresses any of these issues. Perhaps not until theyre addressed by public enquiry will they get proper resolution. To that end i re-iterate my request to kindly refer my complaint to the administrative decisions tribunal. Thank you. Sincerely yours,
