Having a family is one of the greatest blessings an individual could have.

It usually comprises of a father, a mother and the fruits of the love and happiness as one which are the children. A very important part of the family is the mother who is the primary caregiver, nurturer and the light of the home. Being a mother is a vocation who concentrates on taking care of her children. The student researchers had been exposed on conducting Family Case Analysis, Case Studies and Community Diagnosis in various communities. With that in mind, they observed that majority of the families have many children. The researchers wondered about the experiences of selected mothers in rearing ten or more living children which could give a deeper and a unique experience considering the number of children compared to any other mothers. The information about the phenomenon could give a profound perception and investigation to other families who also experience raising a number of children. Furthermore, in spite of all the efforts of the researchers to look for a similar study, there were none.

The researchers used a qualitative type of research which is a method that involves collection of information as it is expressed naturally by people within the normal context of their lives. These will produce a more in-depth and comprehensive information since it seeks a wide understanding of the situation. The study aimed to find out the lived experiences of mothers with ten or more children and used Descriptive Phenomenology under Van Kaams approach in analyzing data. The researchers had a total number of seven participants in Pampanga included in the study. The type of sampling technique used was non-probability sampling technique, specifically purposive sampling wherein the participants were selected for the purpose of describing an experience which they have been part of. The researchers made use of unstructured interview to prevent bias and to allow the participants to freely express their lived experiences without having topic guides that could limit their sharing of experiences. In line with this, the researcher used grand tour question of Ano po para sainyo ang buhay ng may ____ anak?. The researchers also made use of a voice recorder which was approved by the participants to aid in gathering data.

The preliminary structural elements were then synthesized and grouped together forming the six essential structural element; these essential structural elements are as follows: (I.) Enjoying the Present: A Mothers Outlook; (II.) A Maternal Role: A Sense of Obligation; (III.) Being Together: A Mother and Children as a Family; (IV.) It isnt easy as it may seem to be: Enduring Struggles and Frustrations of Motherhood; (V.) Struggle in Meeting the Unmet Needs; (VI.) A Spiritual Covenant: Meaningful Experience with God. With the following process, the researchers had arrived with the following recommendations: To the community, it is of great help to have seminars or programs in every barangay that may help them to stay together through good times and bad times for them to have a stronger relationship. This is also to help the mother in proper time management and strategies in managing household chores will be effective. It is recommended that supporting children from their studies such as scholarship in public school of the government would be a great help for the mothers since they are experiencing lack of financial sources for education.

To families to be of help in planning their future and be sensitive and conscious enough in anticipating the needs of their children and how to suffice those since one of the highlights of the findings dealt with the financial limitations of the family having ten or more children.

To the future researchers for further analysis and for new additional findings, since this is the first study that was made about on what is life of being a mother having not only of one, two, three or maybe four children but it is a mother having ten and more children.
