Cyrus Maghami Managing Director Mr. Maghami was previously a cofounder of Shackleton Advisors, a middle market private equity and advisory firm focused on acquisitions of distressed opportunities, and where he led the M&A and financial advisory practice. Prior to Shackleton Advisors, Mr. Maghami was a private equity principal investor with Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, an alternative investment firm with over $8 billion under management. During his tenure, Mr. Maghami was instrumental in the groups execution of over 20 transactions, totaling over $300 million of invested capital. Mr. Maghami has led and consummated transactions in the following industries: computer hardware, IT solutions, Internet infrastructure, enterprise software, and online marketing, three of which occurred in 2009. Mr. Maghami earned a B.A. degree in literature and minor in Business from University of Southern California.

Nick Desai Strategic Advisor Mr. Desai was previously a partner with FocalPoint Partners, an investment bank and financial advisory firm in Los Angeles. Before that, Mr. Desai was a Director at Cappello Capital, where he led the team responsible for one of the firms marquee deals of 2006, and was at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he led the top-producing West Coast team. Before these roles he held positions in strategic development and corporate development within operating companies. Mr. Desais transaction experience includes sell-side and buyside M&A assignments, and debt and equity capital raises, for companies in a variety of industries including:IT, food products, medical devices, healthcare, construction services, legal services, marketing services, aerospace/defense, telecom, e-commerce, Internet advertising, manufacturing, transportation/logistics. Mr. Desai earned his MBA and J.D. degrees from Loyola Marymount University and a B.A. from the University of California at Irvine.
