Mr. S. Ramadoss, joined Titan Industries Limited in 1997. He heads Human Resources & Admin functions and is responsible for the Human Resources & Industrial Relations and Administration function of the Company. At Titan, as Chief Human Resource Officer, he is the member of the Management Council of the Company and an active participant in all the Tata Group HR initiatives and one of the senior most member of Tata Group CHRO forum. Mr.Ramadoss is a Law Graduate and has done his P.G. in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. He has over four decades of work experience in the HR & IR profession. He has worked with Shaw Wallace for almost ten years, and with Greaves Cotton & Company Limited for fourteen years. He has been a visiting faculty member in some of the premium B-Schools. He has also presented several papers in HR & TQM in Seminars across the country and abroad. He has been a visiting faculty at Alliance for the last 5 years teaching various HR courses. He is a certified coach from Coaching Foundation of India (CFI). He is also an accredited expert coach of The "Intensive Coach Training (ICT)" and accredited ACC Coach. He is also a certified NLP Practioner and also certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). He was the President of HRD Network, Hosur Chapter for 5 years, Member of ISTD, National Council, Member of CII, IR & HR Panel.

In recent years organizations have felt a strong need for an effective approach to managing human relations and people issues at work. It is being increasingly realized that the employees are the cornerstone of a competitive advantage. The human capital has a tremendous impact on an organizations performance. Moreover globalization and advances in technology have altered the concept of work. This change has focused on teams for effective operations, there is a greater demand for multi-skilled

employees thereby forcing organizations to review how to attract, select, appraise and remunerate the employees. The subject in Human Resource Management is in response to this need. Subject Objectives The objective of this subject is to help students to acquire the specific concepts, skills, techniques associated with the management of the human resources of the organization. The subject will familiarize the students with the common HR practices, the problems within the field and will equip them with the knowledge and skills to deal more effectively with the employees of the organization. Assessment Criteria Students will evaluate the interrelationship between human resource management, organizations and their environment Students should comprehend the popular HR practices and techniques used in organizations in India and best Practices followed across the Globe Students should be able to prepare job documentation for a given HR situation Case discussion and presentation where students are encouraged to delve well beyond a case and link them to present day situations, have perfect comprehension of the case study, express well thought out opinions with clarity and make decisions pertaining to the case problem which are data driven using appropriate HR techniques Subject Pedagogy: Lecture, role plays, case studies and presentations and other learning activities.
