Total modularity enables the NB1 to transcend the limitations of todays block-type PLCs. And a number of special features available as standard help put the NB1 in a class by itself: Powerful CPU featuring 8K steps of built-in program RAM. High-speed processing (0.61s per step). 2,048 internal relays and a 1,024-word data register. 8-channel high-speed counters for single-phase or two-phase (4-channel) operation. Wide-range power supply voltage (100 to 240 V AC or 24 V DC). EEPROM memory cassette. Full arithmetic instruction set. Setting the standard. The NB1s completely modular design and unparalleled CPU power enable expandability up to 334 I/O points. By combining any choice of NB1 Processor Units (24, 40 and 56 I/O points) and NB1 Expansion Units (8, 24, 40, and 56 I/O points), the NB1 provides system control far beyond the scope of

other available blocktype PLCs. The NB2 packs big performance in a space-saving cost-effective package. To save space without sacrificing I/O performance, the NB2 uses RB1 ultra-miniature, 5-amp electromechanical relays, specially designed by Fuji Electric for highdensity PC boards. The NB2 can be expanded to as many as 368 I/O points simply by combining NB2 Processor Units (in sizes of 24, 36, 56 and 90 I/O points) and NB2 Expansion Units (in sizes of 24, 36, 56 and 90 I/O points). Moreover, with the NB1type 8-I/O-point Expansion Unit, any combination of input and output voltages and any number of I/O points may be configured or mixed. Flex-PC programming. Programs for operation testing and maintenance are simple to generate, monitor and debug not only on the NB Series PLCs but also on every other member of the Flex-PC family, using Fuji Electrics Handy Loader palm-size programming tool with easy-to-read, back-lit LCD and membrane keyboard. Even better, the entire Flex-PC family can also be programmed with the same IBM PC-compatible Program

Loader Software package (MS-DOS Version 3.3 or

higher). Other PLC manufacturers often require different programming packages for each class of PLC. In addition, Flex-PC family programming can be done in a choice of two methods: Mnemonic Language or Ladder Logic.
