Akershus University Hospital is seeking for several radiologists for their Diagnostic Imaging Department
The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Akershus University Hospital is an ultra-modern department with new and advanced modalities, offering substantial professional, diagnostic and academic opportunities. The department is expanding, and is consequently seeking specialists in radiology for senior positions as chief physicians. The department is divided in sections based on organs / medical speciality, and is in particular interested in radiologists experienced in neuro radiology, chest radiology, mamma radiology and general radiology. However, radiologists with other backgrounds are also of interest. The chief physicians will be included in the departments general on-call arrangement. Responsibilities of the position: Participating in the daily diagnostic imaging work of the department. Contributing to maintaining and extending the quality of the diagnostic imaging service at the department. Contributing to research and professional development within the organisational section. Responsibility for preparing and updating medical procedures in co-operation with / as delegated by the head of section. In co-operation with the head of section, providing guidance to the departments residents and junior radiologists. May be a formal adviser for residents and junior radiologists. Contributing to good, professional medical co-operation internally within the Centre for Diagnostic Imaging as well as with users at the hospital and in the primary healthcare service. Participating in the instruction of students / Participating in the other operations of the department. Qualifications: Certified physician with approved speciality in Radiology / Good ability to provide guidance Genuine competency, preferably sub specialist competency within the section's professional discipline(s) An expressed will to learn Norwegian, as all clinical information and the electronic patient record will be in Norwegian.
