Class : ED226 Unit :1 Lesson Focus : Beginner Equipment : Basketball, Stop watch, Cone, Whistle.

Student Objectives Each student should be able to do the following:

To accurately perform the basic skills in Basketball (Passing Skills,Dribbling and Shooting Skill) by individual or with a partner (Psychomotor objective) All students can learn on how to solve the problems, how to take a good decision and how to control their mental and physical before, during and after the game (Cognitive objective). Work productively by individual or with a partner or team to perform the basic skill. Later it will create a new individual skill in Basketball (Affective objective).

Teacher Objectives The teacher should be able to do the following:

To instant and observe the game to the students. To make sure all the students know and learn the true techniques in Basketball. To give an opportunities to all of the students to know and feel the real situation during Basketball game. To add their knowledge about this sport. To design learning experiences with different skills for different lesson objectives within the lesson.

Explanation and demonstration by: Rockye & Aslam Basics Skill Teachers Pass Chest Overhead Pass Dribbling Shooting 20 min The instructors will explain and demonstrate the chest pass, overhead pass, dribbling and shooting skills to the participants

Students give concentration during the explanation and demonstration. To ensure all the students know about the basics skill in Basketball.

Group Practice 4 Chest Pass 5 min Explanation and demonstration : All the instructors introduce and conduct drills of chest pass in the group.

Separate all the students into 4 groups. The instructors observe and teach the students while practicing.

By practicing, the students will get more knowledge and learn the proper execution basic skill of chest pass.

Overhead Pass

Separate all the students into 4 groups. The instructors observe and teach the students while practicing. Explanation and demonstration : All the instructors introduce and conduct drills of overhead pass in the group. By practicing, the students will get more knowledge and learn the proper execution basic skill of overhead pass.

Dribbling

Separate all the students into 4 groups. The instructors observe and teach the students while practicing. Explanation and demonstration : All the instructors introduce and conduct drills of dribbling in the group. By practicing, the students will get more knowledge and learn the proper execution basic skill of dribbling skill.

Shooting Separate all the students into 4 groups. The instructors observe and teach the students while practicing

Explanation and demonstration : All the instructors introduce and conduct drills of shooting in the group.

By practicing, the students will get more knowledge and learn the proper execution basic skill of shooting skill.

Mini games/ competition

The students play and apply the basic skills in the games. All the instructors conduct the games.

The participants will be divided into 4 groups. The participants will apply the skills that they learn before. First mini game, student will divide into 4 groups and 2 groups will play on the court to score point. p/s: Second mini game, The first and second group winner will compete to get high score point.

Give the students feel and apply all the basics that they learn in a real basketball game situation.

Students follow the instructors commands. 6 Cooling down 2 min Practical: Conduct by Rockye

To avoid from injury and muscle pain after the activity.

The instructors and students gather at one place to get a proper feedback. Get feedback and reaction from the students. To ensure the students understand what they have learn about this sport.
