These cards can be used all together or in theme sets if the pupil can only work with a few items at a time. They can be used to play Snap or Memory games. They make an ideal table game for two or more children to play at a time. Adults should support children by putting a focus on taking turns, waiting and interacting with one another. Whilst developing vocabulary around everyday topics and items. Print out the cards and if possible laminate as this will make it much easier and more durable cards to play with. Pages 14-17 flash cards: On these pages you will find six sets of cards based on the topics of Clothes and Vehicles. Each pair has the same concept ie: car but the pictures look slightly different. These can be used the same way as described above but pupils will have to take extra care to make sure they are matching the same concepts. Page 18: Taking Turns cue cards Use this page as a pupils communication board to support interaction. It can also be cut it up and laminated for adults to use as a visual cue to support children throughout the activity.
