What's new
What's new Electronics Smart Assistant
Automotive electronic technology is developing rapidly. To diagnose faults accurately, the automotive technician now needs detailed information on complex electronic processors (ECUs) and their associated components. A single diagram displayed on a PC is no longer enough. Designed specifically for the diagnosis and repair of modern vehicle electronic systems, the Electronics Smart Assistant will change the way the automotive aftermarket views car electronics and diagnostics. The Smart Assistant is easy to use. You can either enter EOBD codes or go straight to an electronic component. Clear, step-by-step instructions then lead you to an accurate diagnosis. Our database
Welcome
contains thousands of standard P-codes, manufacturers fault codes, and detailed wiring diagrams, making the diagnostic process quick and easy. The Electronics Smart Assistant is available either integrated within the application or as a stand-alone module.
Service times
Additional work can be included or excluded, making it specific to the work carried out. The total time automatically changes when jobs are added or removed.
Shopping list
Our maintenance jobs are linked to generic spare part numbers. You can create a specific shopping list for a service interval to include all the parts required. We include a list of all parts which may need to be ordered for that service interval. You can manually remove or add your own required spare parts. If you have a licence for the Organiser module, you can import the shopping list to your work order, including the parts needed for additional repairs.

Installation
Installation
Our application is available in two versions, offline on CD/DVD and online via the internet. Both versions are technically identical and use the same data. You will receive two offline updates a year. The online version is updated four times a year. Up to 4 users may use the same licence. Online users can go to the Preferences section to create additional users. For offline use, by choosing a server installation, you can install our application on a server with 4 clients. In this case you have to choose a server installation instead of the stand-alone (default) installation.
Note To perform correctly, the installation will require Windows administrator rights. Our application cannot be installed on a terminal server.

Network installation
To use our application in a network you need to do a network installation on the server computer: Install the program as network server (See: Server installation). Share the application folder for network users (See: How do I share a folder?). Open a TCP port for the database server on the firewall (if applicable). On the client computer: Navigate to the installed client installation software on the server and start the
Getting started installation using the setup from the server computer.
19
Server installation
The server installation is the same as the default installation. The only difference is that you should now select Network server.
Go through all the steps until you have successfully finished the installation procedure.
Note Before you continue with the Client installation you need to share the application folder.
To access and use files on other computers within a network environment, you need to share a folder. When you install the program as a network installation (Server), you install the database and the licence on one computer (Server), but you will run the program itself from another computer (Client). A client computer should be able to access the licence on the server. The folder in which the licence files are installed needs to be shared with other users. It is recommended that after the server installation you check whether the folder is correctly shared.
How do I share a folder?
In order to use the application in a network you have to share the database and licence folder on the Server: On the server, open Windows Explorer and click with your right-mouse button on
