Feel free to cont act support at any time if you need assistance or have any questions. ----How To Install a fresh NEW installation---(Read the upgrade text file if you are looking to upgrade an existing copy) 1) Upload the entire script (the files in the ROOT folder) to your hosting accou nt or a folder on your hosting account. i.e. The script can be on yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com/folder 2) Create a MySQL database and keep a note of the details (DB name, DB Username and password). 3) Visit http://yoursite.com/install/ , click on INSTALL and add the database de tails above. (NOTE: Some servers may require you to CHMOD your config.php to 777 - If so , you will get an error. CHMOD the config.php on your server, run the I nstall from the start and ignore the message above the conn.php file. Remember t o CHMOD yor config.php file back to 644 afterwards). 4) On the next page, enter your licence key and other details. Leave the usernam e and password as admin. You can change these later in your profile after you ha ve logged in. 5) REMOVE the install directory 6) Once you have logged into your site (admin / admin), you can then visit http: //yourdomain.com/admincp VB-Mod Important ------------------------The vbuserimporter.php file DELETES all current script members. This includes yo ur ADMIN account.. therefore export a copy of your members database to add later or tinker with the vbuserimporter file. If you have a new VB installation then you can delete the line in that file which deletes the members first. If in doub t, contact is first. Configuration ------------------1) phpBB3 forum bulletin board - Go to www.phpbb.com and download the latest ve rsion Install the forum in a directory called /forum on your hosting account. It needs to be entered into the SAME database as the ladder script! You need to then add the word forum into the Site Settings box in the AdminCp wi thout any / 2) You are able to change anything about the look and feel of your site. The hea

der, blocks and coloring can all be changed in your /theme/default folder and th e html.php, frontpage.php and subpage.php files in there deal with the position and content of the blocks. You can add other links, Advertising spaces and other blocks in here easily. 3) Help with the GamerCard (might not show) and changing the TimeZone as seen at the top of the site are to be found in the text files in the DOCUMENTS on here called GamerCard-HELP and TimeZone-HELP respectively. 4) You may have CHMOD the /images/rotator and /images/platforms folders to 777 t o allow for direct image upload. ----License Agreement---These following terms must be agreed to to use Elite Gaming ladder and tournamen t software. *Restrictions -This is a legal binding document, which serves as a sales agreement. In the eve nt that you fail to comply with this License Agreement, be aware that you may lo se your permission to use this software and may face legal actions for Software Piracy. -You may use the script as many times as you want on only ONE domain. You are th erefore allowed to run a different console or PC ladder on a subdirectory, for e xample or run a test site on a directory of your domain. -You may not re-distribute or re-sell the software under any circumstances and n ot in a shape or form. Elite Ladders has formerly attained Copyright protection unde International Law and violators of this Copyright will incur a fine of $150 ,000. -You shall not use the Software to develop any software or other technology havi ng the same primary function as the Software, including but not limited to using the Software in any development or test procedure that seeks to develop like so ftware or other technology, or to determine if such software or other technology performs in a similar manner as the Software. -This ladder script is NON-Refundable after purchase under ANY circumstances. -You may modify all the files within the /theme directoy (which control the layo ut and look of the site) but outside of this directory, Elite Ladders is not obl iged to provide any support to any member who modifies the script, unless the mo difications are carried out by official site staff. -Elite Ladders will not be held responsible for any loss of data during an upgra de, update of the script. Updates and upgrades are always performed at the scrip t licencee's risk and backups should always be made, as is common practice. -You must leave the copyright in the footer with a link back to the site, unless you purchase the optional branding removal. Using our affiliate scheme link in the footer is optional. -You cannot sell your licenced sccript to anybody else to use on their site. The licence is registered to the hosting account and the domain name. Therefore, yo u are okay if you sell your whole site, domain and script to a third party as th e licence stays with the domain.
