AYP 2011
Adequate Yearly Progress is the report card component of the Federal No Child Left Behind [NCLB] law. Under AYP only Reading/ELA and Mathematics are used for ratings rather than the four subjects used for AEIS. The Reading standard for 2011 AYP is 80% and the Math standard is 75%.

Under provisions of AYP there are 7 student groups used for ratings rather than the 5 used under AEIS. Special Education and Limited English Proficient (LEP) student groups are added.

Special Education students and LEP students are held to the same performance standards as the other student groups.

The District remains in the best quadrant (green) within the best green quadrant (1-1) compared to the 200 largest districts in the state.

ERG
The school board and the administration are committed to sound fiscal policies, but not at the expense of academic excellence. Therefore performance measured by the API is our highest goal. For both 2010 and 2011, the districts API ranking is 17th among the 200 largest districts in the state. This places the district in the top 9% in academic performance.
