Additionally, the following outbound ports are required to allow access to your configured NTP servers, SMTP servers and AOS devices): UDP port 123 (NTP) TCP port 25 (SMTP) TCP port 80 (Used to force device check-ins) TCP port 443 (Used to force device check-ins)
INITIAL CONFIGURATION
The initial configuration of n-Command MSP requires generating a new license key for the software and entering this information into the License Information menu. To complete these steps, you will first need to register a user name and password at http://www.adtran.com to access the ADTRAN support website. Select Register from the top of the main welcome screen. Once you have registered, use one of the following two methods to generate a license key. Method 1 uses a static IPv4 address and Method 2 uses a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) assigned IPv4 address.

Select Generate Challenge Key to display a challenge key. Leave this dialog box open because you will return to it later. Open another browser window and navigate to http://www.adtran.com. Log in using your ADTRAN user name and password. Once you are logged in, select the Register new products link under My Products section of the website. If you have never registered an ADTRAN product, the My Products section will not be visible. You will need to register a product by navigating to Support > Warranty Information > Register a Product. If this is your first time registering your n-Command MSP product, you must enter the n-Command MSP serial number (shown in the License Entry dialog box above) and select Continue. If you have previously registered your product, it is displayed on the Registered Products list.

When registering your product, use the serial number shown in the License Entry dialog box explained in Step 2. Do NOT use the serial number listed on the shipping box.

Select Get License Key from the same line as the n-Command MSP server you are registering. Select Get License Key to generate a license key.

Enter the challenge key from the n-Command MSP software that you generated previously (in Step 3) and select Generate License Key. The license key displayed is used in the next step. Select Generate License Key to generate a license key.

Return to the n-Command MSP software and enter the license key generated (in Step 9) into the Key field in the License Entry dialog box. Select Update to save the new information. You have successfully registered and licensed your software.

Enter the correct parameters for your network. Optionally, enter the information for any additional ports by selecting the corresponding Ethernet port tab and entering the information in the appropriate fields. Select the Apply button at the bottom of the menu. The session will close and the unit will reboot. Use the new IPv4 address for future GUI sessions with the server. The server can now be connected to the network using the appropriately configured Ethernet ports.
