FINAL PROJECT: STAGE 3 STUDYING ABROAD (CANADA)

More than 150,000 international students go to Canada every year to study. They contribute with different customs and culture to the country. Their knowledge and skills are highly valued in schools. The Canadian universities and colleges are respected worldwide for the high quality of education provided. Fees for foreign students in Canada, and the cost of living are among the lowest in the world. Students accepted into an institution of higher education can gain valuable Canadian work experience through employment outside the institution. Canada is among the most multicultural countries in the world. Regardless of ethnic origin, students feel welcome because of the diversity of communities and schools. According to the United Nations, Canada offers one of the highest levels of quality of life in the world. [1] Each of the provinces and territories in Canada are responsible for education, each of these systems have similar characteristics, while reflecting the history, culture and geography of each region. Superior education is also administered by provincial and territorial governments that provide most of its funding. [2] In Ecuador, now it is common for students from different provinces attempt to travel abroad after completing their university studies. This phenomenon occurs because the aspect of science and technology has had a significant development in the country. Careers such as engineering have been the main options for students due to the fields they cover and the money they receive when they get good jobs.

"There are several organizations in Canada that administer scholarship programs but they are usually for graduate students or professors who are studying or researching a specific topic. Canadian studies are a typical area for which scholarships are awarded. Students should also seek financial assistance in their country of origin either in public institutions and private organizations that can provide assistance to students looking to study abroad. [3]

Luis Rafael Sornoza Curay 05-03-2012 14-16 Note that adapt to a new country is often the most difficult aspect. Students find many differences both in terms of customs, climate, food, language, etc. Canada is known for being a multicultural country known to receive many students from countries around the world. So it's very difficult to find a type of custom and unique traditions in this country. There are some disadvantages of choosing Canada: Some features of life can be harsh or strict and could collide with the traditions and way of being Latin American. Many sociologists and political scientists define Canada as the "Dictatorship of the citizen" because of the law, rules and regulations. Everything is predetermined and must be fully complied to the simplest things are regulated. It is important to be fluent in at least one of Canada's two official languages (English or French) to be inserted in the labor market effectively. If destination is chosen as the province of Quebec, you must be fluent in French, to compete for professional jobs. The tax is mandatory and compliance is monitored by law. The immigrant can be deported if he fails to meet this obligation. The good of the community prevails over the individual. If the immigrant does not contribute in any effective way with the economy or welfare of the country, cannot be accepted and even deported (except for humanitarian cases). The weather can be difficult to tolerate, especially by the predominance of winter in most regions. This can seriously affect those who have lived in hot climates because it affects all activities of daily living and requires getting used to. [4] Finally, I think that studying in Canada has more advantages than disadvantages, not only by the fact possess some of the best universities in the world, but also for the opportunity and ease of learning about the culture and the different students visiting the country.
