Gods Spirit gives each Christian special abilities (gifts) that are designed to work with each others gifts: spiritual gifts. Christians need to be involved in local churches so they can discover their function and use their gifts. In a world of self-centered thinking, Christs example and command to serve others still applies! We need church, but the church also needs us! In the church we can grow spiritually, and we can also have the thrill of helping others grow. As we discover how Gods gifted us, we feel good about helping and grow more! 3. A PLACE TO BE SERVED (1 Cor. 12; 14-27; James 5:13-16), The various parts of your body depend on each other. Your eye gives you vision, while your brain interprets the image so you see it. You cannot see just with your eyes or just with the brain. When you serve in the church, you will find that your needs get met also, we all work together in oneness and purpose for Gods glory. God normally meets our needs by using others, and He uses you to meet others needs, this is the churchs purpose and that Christ is the head of it. Church members need to depend on each other just as the members/ parts of a human body do! 4. A PLACE TO GROW (Acts 20:7; Col. 3: 16; Heb. 10:25). Just as our physical bodies need nourishment, so too our spiritual lives need to be fed. This spiritual food includes worship, prayer, discipleship, good Biblical instruction, and mentoring. As Christians praise God and pray, there is a special bond occurs. Gifted teachers and preachers who know and use Gods Word and care about you can help you grow. So plant yourself in a good church and grow! 5. A PLACE TO WORK TOGETHER (John 13:34-35). Christian faith is personal but not private. Healthy Christians are not loners. Jesus said that the word would watch relationships between Christians: By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:35). Church helps us learn how to love and obey God. So remember folks, going to church every Sunday means actually we are spending our time in a place where we actually belong, where we come together to grow in spirituality, where we shed our worldly things for sometime and just be with our Heavenly Father, worhsipping Him. Its a great feeling when we spend time with out parents after a busy week, isnt it? We share things, I mean all kind of things Happiness, Sorrow, etc. Likewise our Heavenly Father who created us also wants us to spend some time with Him, share things with Him. And this is better done when we are in a place where we belong Church.

As I was lying down on my sofa one day and thinkin about the bible and church, one thing that came to my mind, what all youths these days ask to oneself and their parents, Why Should I Go To Church? A very important question that I think every youth must ask. Why should I go to church? But first we should know What is the church? Is the church a building? Is it the place where believers gather to worship? Or is the church the peoplethe believers who follow Christ? How we understand and perceive the church is quite important in determining how we live out our faith. Bible says in Colossians 1:18, A Church is the body of Christ. It is a spiritual assembly where people come together to worhip Christ. Now, There are 5 main reasons why going to church is important. 1. A PLACE TO BELONG (Rom. 12:5; I Cor. 12:12: 2 Cor. 5: 17). When a person trusts Christ as Savior. Gods Spirit makes him or her a member of Gods family. All Christians are born into this family that will live forever, where we belong! 13th Year and still STRONG

Hello Everyone, Praise be to God in the highest !! Its a moment of great pride to see that our Knanaya Voice has completed 13 years of existence. I remember, we had started the Voice with great gutso and enthusiasm, inviting articles, memoirs, poems, etc. from the members of our Church. And Yes, our members have stood by the editorial team of the Kananya Voice and supplied them with regular flow of written content, contributions etc.. Its very heartening to see our young children participate in the Bible Quiz, month after month. Youngsters who at the time of the launch of the Voice, were children, now enthusiastically take active part in writing articles on a varied range of topics. But friends, if we look closely, we see that inspite of there being so many members in our church, hardly a handful of them take part in the Voice, hardly a few children regularly appear for the Bible quiz.. Is the Voice meant only for a particular group of members. What about the remaining majority ? Why isnt there willingness on their part to actively use the talents which the Good Lord has provided them with ? How long can we lead lives, so detached from our fellow beings, so immersed in ourselves. Friends, we are Gods children, and he has bestowed on each one of us certain qualities through which we can magnify his name. It is our christian duty to hear our inner voice and follow it to the T. We have witnessed so many changes in these 13 long years. We have seen our Voice blossoming from a bud to a fully grown flower. There have been so many social and economic changes too, but friends, have we ever wondered whether along with these changes, has there been any change in our outlook and attitude towards life. When we look at ourselves in the mirror, can we see a different person or is it the same old outlook and attitude gazing back at us ? These 13 years must have brought about changes in our family structure, finance, social responsibilities etc. Are we responding to these changes in a positive and fulfilling manner ? Such insights are vital for our spiritual growth, for God has brought us into this world with a purpose. Each one of us has a God-given purpose, of which we have no idea. Its through these insights that we are in pursuit of our purpose here on earth. Let us all come together and take a vow that we shall in our individual capacity, work together for the Church as a whole, and society in general. Let us make use of the opportunities which our heavenly father presents us with. May we pray that our Voice grows from strength to strength and alongwith its growth, may we too, grow into better individuals. Thanks be to God!!!!!!!
