discontinued the weekly evening masses and hopefully will be settled
into our new schedule soon.

All Saints 2nd Annual Christmas Party. Come join your All Saints
family for food, fun and dancing at our biggest event of the season on
Fri., Dec. 12, 6pm at KCHS. Reservations will be taken until Dec. 7. To

Don’t forget we have a wonderful nursery during the 10am Mass for
children 4 and under. The nursery is not open holiday weekends.
Mark your calendars! The All Saints Choir and Musicians, along with
the Knoxville Youth Symphony Orchestra will be presenting the
Christmas Cantata “Journey of Promises” by Joseph M.. There will be
two separate performances: Fri., Jan. 16th at 7pm and Sun., Jan. 18th at
3pm. Both performances will be held in the church and open to the
public. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will benefit Catholic
Charities.

“Catholic Women and Friends” has begun a weekly study on Paul’s
Letter to the Romans. Grow in your faith and meet other Catholic women
every Thursday morning at 9:45am in the hall.
First Friday Faith and Friends will be this Fri., Dec. 5th. Please join us
at 9am mass and for our speaker (9:45am), Dr. Ruth Queen Smith for her
talk on “Advent and the Liturgical Year.” Lunch will be provided.

MEN’S CLUB
Breakfast with Santa, Sat., Dec. 6. Join us after mass for a delicious
breakfast and great photos with Santa for your 2008 family Christmas
collection. This is a great way to a positive start to your family holiday

FAITH FORMATION
All are invited to a faith formation workshop sponsored by the diocese
and presented by Renew International. This workshop will be offered
on Wed., Dec. 3 at Holy Ghost from 7-9pm and again on Sun., Dec. 7 at
All Saints from 2-4pm in the parish hall. For more info and/or to RSVP,

Christmas Nativity Prelude at the 4pm Mass, Dec. 24. Kindergarten to
grade 5 children are invited on a first come basis to participate. We have
costumes enough for Mary, Joseph, 8 angels and 4 shepherds. Please call

RCIA classes have begun! Please join us on Monday nights from 7-

LITURGY COMMITTEE
The Children’s Choir will lead masses in December on the 7th and 21st.
We will also lead mass on Christmas Eve at the 4pm Mass. If anyone
would like to join us for the holiday season, please attend our rehearsals
on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm in the church.
SPIRITUAL LIFE
We are in need of some more people to pray at church on First Friday’s.
Our biggest need is for substitutes on Friday morning (once per
month) at 12 1, 2, 3 and 4am. There is a sacrifice involved in this
commitment but great reward to spend time with our Lord in quiet prayer
and adoration. If you would like to come as a substitute on an as-needed
basis, please contact Nancy Q. at [# omitted] or [email omitted].
This Friday, Dec. 5th is First Friday. Eucharistic Adoration will begin
Thursday evening at 7pm and will conclude Friday with Benediction at
5pm. All are invited to spend some time in Adoration to Jesus, who is
truly present in the Eucharist. To sign up for an hour or if you can’t

Morning Prayer will be said throughout Advent beginning at 8:45am
each day prior to daily Mass. Everyone is invited to participate and an
easy, follow along guide is provided.
SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Christmas Giving Tree. Tags with Christmas wishes are available on
the Giving Tree in the narthex. We still have many needs left this year,
so please take a tag from the tree if you can help. Our annual Christmas
Giving tree provides gifts for children, families and seniors in several
Catholic Charities programs and the Runaway Shelter program. Gifts
should be purchased and returned unwrapped with the tag attached and
placed under the Christmas tree. All gifts must be brought in by 1pm
Sun., Dec. 14th to allow time for sorting and distribution to the programs.
Please do not take a tag if you are not going to purchase that gift as the
tags represent specific gift requests. If you have questions, please call

Bell Ringing for Salvation Army. We will be ringing bells to help the
Salvation Army on Thurs., Dec. 19th, Sat., Dec. 20th and Mon., Dec. 21st
between 10am and 8pm each day at the Kroger on Middle Brook Pike.
We will need volunteers to do this for one hour shifts during those times.

KNOXVILLE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
KCHS cheerleaders are hosting a Parents Day Out on Sat., Dec. 6th,
11am-4:30pm and Sat., Dec. 13th, 1:30-5pm. This would be a great time
to do a little Christmas shopping and leave the kids to a little Christmas
fun all their own. Location: Sacred Heart School youth room, next to the

The Placement Test for incoming freshmen is scheduled for Dec. 13.
Testing begins at 8am. A $25 fee is payable the day of the test. To

DIOCESE AND DEANERY
On Tues., Dec. 9th the Sant’Egidio Community of Knoxville will host a
prayer service focusing on the end of the use of the death penalty in our
country. The service will begin at 7pm in the chapel of the Chancery.
Following the service there will be a viewing and discussion of a video
regarding the USCCB’s campaign to end the use of the death penalty.
