Digitizing and Spatial Adjustment

Step 1: Roads, sidewalks, paths

In step 1 I created the roads using the rectangle tool. I then


created the sidewalks on market and 34th streets using the
buffer tool and used this technique again on filbert street. In
step 1 also used the snap to edge and vertex, parallel
sketching, merging and clipping tools. Additionally, I used
the endpoint arc segment tool in several places at the corner
of filbert and warren.

Step 2: Greenspace

In step 2 I continued to
employ the techniques used
in step one while also adding
the autocomplete polygon
tool to my digitizing, in order
to fill in the polygons in
between the paths.

I did not employ any new


tools during this phase.
However, I did utilize the fact
that I knew I would trim the
edges in a later step to
facilitate faster polygon
creation, and used extensive
clipping to ensure only
desires portions of polygons
ended up on my map.

draft I was more
succesful in spatially
adjusting the image. I
played around with the
link points and
transformation types in
this edition, but was
limited by the lack of
intersections, in the
number of solid links I
could establish.
