Leon Trotsky vs. Joseph Stalin As Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin rose in power in the final years of Vladimir Lenins life, it became clear just how different these two mens Communist beliefs and leadership styles were.

This book looks through the archives of what made Stalins Soviet Union what it was. Looking at the corruption and the dissent, one gets a good sense of what it was like behind the iron curtain that was the Soviet Union.

Dencausse, Helene. Stalin: Order Through Terror. London: Longman Group Limited, 1981.

This book focuses on the time period after Stalin gained control of the Soviet Union. The revolution; noted as being more radical than that of 1917, of political power and culture soon took on a life of its own becoming known as Stalinism. Finally, this book recognizes that Stalins rule was a reflection of the historical conflict between Russias Asian roots and the pressure for Western reform.

This book looks at Leon Trotskys economic beliefs during the time when he was a major contender for rule over the Soviet Union. This sheds allot of light onto the subject of Trotskys Communist beliefs.

This book explores life for the average Soviet and Russian citizen after the death of Joseph Stalin. It explores popular feelings about what life was like under Stalinist rule. Despite the fact that some twenty million people died under Stalin iron fist, many remember him as a great leader.

During the time period under the leadership of Gorbachev, the Soviet Union entered into a period of open discussion of the corruption and the fallacies done to the citizens of the Communist Country. One can see the corruption under Stalin from this time book.

This book looks at Joseph Stalin and his leadership that took over the Soviet Union. Behind the Corruption one gets to see what exactly his plans and methods used for the Soviet Union were.

Medvedev, Roy A. All Stalins men. Garden City, New York: Anchor Press, 1984.

This book characterizes the time period from Stalins hopes of taking over the Soviet Union to his take over. Looking at the steps he took through corruption to gaining power and support, one gets a better understanding of the time period.

This book examines the already known problems associated with the Stalin era and highlights new details that were previously overlooked. This unique work brings in information that was once only available to Soviet writers and information about the Stalin era available in the west.

The man behind all the corruption and the horror; Joseph Stalin, is looked at in this very exciting work. What happened in Soviet Russia under the controversial leadership of this dynamic leader is explored here

Taking a look at all the different sides to Communism, one gets a better understanding what happened in Soviet Russia, and exactly why it collapsed. Starting with Marx and looking at the ideals of Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, and even Mao, this book gives a very well rounded look at Communist belief.
