This position will be located in Orlando, Florida <br /><br /> The qualif ied applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's SPEED (Systems Planning Eng ineering and Evaluation Device) Program. Applicant will perform a variety of dut ies in software test and development.She/he will support and develop software fo r Department of Defense and commercial applications. She/he will work fromsoftwa re design documents and specifications. Follow written and verbal instructions, conduct test and report data and results in prescribed formats. <br /><br /> Rol es and Responsibilities: <br /><br /> Participate in software design development and test. <br /> Execute informal/formal design sessions and test events. <br / > Work with others in coordinated integrated software and test activities with c ustomers. <br /> Review and evaluate design requirements to insure completeness of software and testing programs. <br /><br /> Basic Qualifications: <br /><br / > High School diploma and enrolled in an applicable college field of study such as computer science, electrical engineering or related technical field. Computer Science or related field Masters Degree candidates and PHD candidates will be c onsidered. <br /><br /> US Citizenship required <br /><br />Preferred Qualificat ions: <br /><br /><br /> Experience with Java, C# as a developer and Tasks: <br /><br /> 1.Developing OSGI bundles to handle a variety of communication and data processing capabilities. <br /> 2.Developing software to emulate hardware commu nication characteristics. <br /> 3.Integrating Hadoop into communications framew ork. <br /> 4.Developing and documenting procedures for replicating development efforts to fast track additional staff. <br /><br /> Helpful Experience: <br />< br /> 1.Programming experience in Java EE and C#. <br /> 2.Good knowledge of Com puter software development fundamentals <br /> 3.Visual Studio, OSGi, Spring, Ma ven, Hadoop experience. <br /><br /> Strong verbal and written communication ski lls <br /> Strong interpersonal skills <br /> Strong analytical skills <br /> Ex perience with computer operating systems, and computer programming languages <br /> Microsoft Office Suite experience <br /><br /><br /> Northrop Grumman Corpor ation is a leading global security company whose 75,000 employees provide innova tive systems, products, and solutions in aerospace, electronics, information sys tems and technical services to government and commercial customers worldwide.<br /><br />Northrop Grumman is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring a nd retaining a diverse workforce regardless of age.
