System has to be powered on in either Partition Standby mode or System Profile mode to create logical partitions
Formula for maximum number of partitions: Number of partitions = Total memory (in GB) - 2 (16 max)
e.g. 8GB system = Maximum 6 LPARs

Partition profile describes the resources to be used Parition profile used to start a partition

Deleting a partition:
