Dr. David Calhoun will be the chapel speaker on January 24th. He is a professor at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Calhoun is a former professor at CIU and is the son-in-law of the late Dr. G. Allen Fleece, CIU's second president. Team CIU is joining with Greater Europe Mission to reach the nations that will come to London for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. The first meeting will be held at 6:30 PM on January 24th in McKay-Rikard for those interested. Meet team leaders, learn more about this opportunity, or pledge a commitment to being a team member. First Presbyterian Church will be holding their 2012 Spiritual Life Conference featuring guest speaker Dr. R.C. Sproul. The event will be held February 10th-11th in the Sanctuary and is entitled The Needs of the Hour. Session 1, 7:00 p.m. Friday: A Famine of the Word Session 2, 9:00 a.m. Saturday: The Prayer-lessness of the Church Session 3, 10:45 a.m. Saturday: Bridges to the World The event is free of charge and no registration is required. Jenny Walker of NICS (Network of Christian Schools) will be visiting campus with a display in the student center on Thursday, January 26th. NICS operates international schools throughout the world. Ms. Walker would love to talk to students about vocational opportunities. All students expecting to graduate this coming May need to have their Graduation Applications turned in to the University Registrars office no later than January 31st. Applications are available on-line, or stop by the University Registrars office to pick one up.

Denny Terrace Tutoring Ministry is looking for people willing to work with students from the Denny Terrace 5 Colleges, neighborhood on Tuesdays and/or 5 Deans, Thursdays, 4-6 PM. This program provides an opportunity to build relationships 1 Provost... with K-6th grade students, to teach a Bible lesson, and to help students with their Priceless homework.
