Biography
ACTS is a three part Pop/Christian Contemporary female vocal group whose members consist of Kathrine Ann, Christine and Fatima Sahagun. They are three sisters, born in the Philippines, raised in Australia, and now living in Las Vegas. Their group was formerly called the Sahagun Sisters, then in the year 2000 they changed it to an acronym of their names/nicknames: Ann, Christine, Teemy (Fatima) Sahagun; hence the group name ACTS was born! In 1987 the Sahagun family migrated to Australia from the Philippines, where all three sisters studied and developed their talents and style; incorporating harmony, dance and movement as part of the repertoire. Then in 1998, they moved to Las Vegas where they engaged in formal training to refine their skills and pursue their singing career. They have been performing by singing, dancing and acting individually and at times as a group when they were younger, but they officially formed their singing group in the year 1994. ACTS has performed in many occasions from statewide events, concerts and celebrations to small gatherings and parties. They sing for church services, and perform during annual celebrations such as Easter, Church Anniversaries, Pastor's Appreciation, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Performances also include plays, musicals, and dance special numbers, with which they were involved in directing and choreography. They have opened up for major artists in concert from the Philippines which quickly gave them exposure locally and within the Filipino community in Las Vegas. Then soon enough, they were invited to more events such as boxing fights and opening ceremonies to sing the national anthem, concerts as opening act, featured act, and even as back up singers for renowned Filipino artists. However, these three sisters have not limited themselves to the local and Filipino community within Las Vegas; their talents and harmonic singing ability have also gained them recognition in Canada, Los Angeles, Philippines and Australia. In the midst of it all, their passion is in serving their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the gifts and talents God has bestowed upon them. Their desire is to influence, inspire, and encourage by bringing hope, spreading joy, and giving love to everyone through what they love doing most; singing, acting, and dancing. But most of all, share to the world the love of Jesus. Each member of ACTS has composed and written several songs that give a positive message, and their goal is to make an impACT in peoples lives and spread their music, not only in the USA and the Philippines, but also internationally, throughout the ends of the earth. The journey in fulfilling this purpose has only begun, and with the determination these three ladies have, the skys the limit.
