(ii) The upper age limit relaxable for Govt. Servant as per existing Govt. Rules in this regard. (iii) For SC/ST candidates - Relaxation upto 05 (Five) years. (iv) For OBC candidates - Relaxation upto 03 (Three) years (On production of Non Creamy Layer Certificate). (v) For PH (PC) candidate Relaxation upto 10 (Ten) years for UR candidates. Relaxation upto 15 (Fifteen) year for SC/ST candidates. Relaxation upto 13 (Thirteen) year for OBC candidates. (vi) For Ex-Serviceman candidate: Relaxation as per Govt. Rules that every Ex-Serviceman who has put in not less than six months continuous service in the Armed Forces of the Union shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age-limit prescribed for the post or service for which he seeks appointment by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age-limit. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION (For IE): (i) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination. (ii) National Council of Trades for Vocational Training (NCTVT) certificate in the relevant trade failing which by ITI or equivalent Diploma/ Certificate holder. (iii) Degree and Diploma in Engineering will not be accepted as qualification for Direct Recruitment. (iv) Only when applicants with NCTVT certificates as mentioned above are not available, then only applicants with ITI or equivalent Diploma/Certificate holders will be considered. ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION (For NIE): For the post of Store Keeper - Essential (v) Pass 10 + 2 Exam. Desirable Basic knowledge of Computer application having O Level Certificate as per Department of Electronics Accredition Committee Certificate (DOEACC). For the post of Durwan - Essential (vi) (i) Marticulation or equivalent examination pass. (ii) Must be physically fit for the duties of Durwan as per specified standard as indicated below:- (a) Height without Shoes 165 cms. (b) Chest (unexpanded) 77 cms Expanded 82 cms (c) Weight 45 Kgs. Desirable. (i) ExServicemen : (ii) Three years service as Home Guard/Civil Defence volunteer and training in at least basic and refresher courses in Home Guard and Civil Defence. For the post of Fireman : Essential (vii) (i) Marticulation pass or equivalent from a recognized board (ii) Must have completed basic

course on elementary fire fighting from a recognized Institute. The duration of the Basic Fire Fighting course will not be less than Six months. The institute offering Basic Course on Fire Fighting should be recognized by State Govt./Govt. of India (iii) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties. This require- ment will be tested as under:- (a) Height without Shoes 165 cms. (b) Chest (unexpanded) 81.5 cms (Expanded) 85 cms. (c) Weight 50 Kgs minimum. (a) Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 kgs. to a distance of 183 mtrs. Within 96 seconds. Endurance test: (b) Clearing 2.7 mtrs. Wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps) (c) Climbing 3 mtrs. Vertical rope using hands and feet. Note: Concession of 2.5 cms in height or chest may be allowed for the members of Schedule Castes or Schedule Tribes candidates from hill areas. Fifty Rupees only) to be paid through Demand Draft/Indian Postal Orders only in favour of General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Kalpi Road, Kanpur-208009. The cumulative age relaxation for PWD category candidates will therefore be (a) by 15 years (10 + 5) for SC/ST; (b) by 13 years (10 + 3) for OBC; and (c) by 10 years (0 + 10) for General Candidates, subject to such cumulative relaxation not taking the age of the candidate beyond 50 years as on 01.08.2011. v) Widows, divorced women & women judicially separated from their husbands, who have not remarried- by 9 years i.e. Maximum Age of 37 years. vi) Ex-servicemen who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms Notification No.36034/5/85/Estt (SCT) dated 27.10.1986, as amended from time to time, who have put in not less than 6 months continuous service in the Armed Forces shall be allowed the benefit of age relaxation by deducting the length of such service from his actual age and the resultant notional age does not exceed 36 years, subject to his not exceeding the Maximum Age of 50 years. An Ex-Serviceman who has once joined a Government job on the civil side, after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex- Serviceman for his re-employment, his ExServiceman status for the purpose of reemployment in job ceases. Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DISXSM): Ex-Servicemen who while serving in Armed Forces of the Union were disabled in operation against the enemy or in disturbed areas shall be treated as DISXS. Dependents of Servicemen killed in Action (DXS) : Servicemen killed in the following operations would be deemed to have been killed in action attributable to Military Service (i) war, (ii) war like operations or border skirmishes either with Pakistan on cease fire line or any other country, (iii)Fighting against armed hostilities in a counter insurgency environment viz. Nagaland, Mizoram, etc. (iv) Serving with peace keeping mission abroad (v) Laying or clearance of mines including enemy mines as also mine sweeping operation between one month before and three months after conclusion of an operation, (vi) Frost bite during actual operations or during the period specified by the Government (vii) Dealing with agitating Para military forces personnel, (viii) IPKF personnel killed during the operations in Sri Lanka. Note : (1) Candidates still serving in Defence Services and desirous of applying under ExServicemen category should submit a certificate from the competent authority that they would be released / retired on or before 30.06.2012. (2) In case a candidate is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories, the age relaxation will be available on any one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is mentioned above. 2. DEFINITIONS UNDER PWD: Under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995 only such persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board appointed by the Central/State Govt. Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Applicants claiming such benefits should produce certificate in original in support of their claim at the time of Group Discussion/ Interview conducted by the Bank, if called by the Bank. Visually Impaired (VI) Blindness refers to condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely (1) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse. Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive connection but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning of execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI) The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non- functional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Orthopaedically Challenged (OC) Locomotor Disability means disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged Persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. 3. RESERVATION IN POSTS: (a) Reservation to different categories will be provided as per Government guidelines. (b) The number of vacancies as also the number of reserved vacancies is provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank. (c) In case of non-availability of reserved candidates, the Bank reserves its right to interchange these categories as per Government Directives. (d) It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ candidates belonging to PWD Category in all Offices / Branches of the Bank and they will have to work in the post identified by the Bank as suitable for them. (e) The selected candidate is liable to be posted, at the sole discretion of the Bank and as per its exigencies, at any of the Banks Branches / Offices, anywhere in the State / UT for which he has applied. Minimum qualifying marks in interview are 50% for General Category and 45% for reserved category. 5. SELECTION PROCEDURE: Depending on the number of vacancies, only those candidates who have secured the minimum qualifying marks stipulated for Common Written Examination (C.W.E) conducted by IBPS (i.e subject wise Objective Test), have the minimum IBPS TWS score specified above and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit shall be called for a Personal interview in the ratio of 1:3. Orthopaedically Challenged (OC) Locomotor Disability means disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged Persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. C. Definition Of Ex-Servicemen (EXSM) Ex-Servicemen(EXSM): Only those candidates shall be treated as Exservicemen who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms Notification No.36034/5/85 Estt. SAIL- Bokaro Steel Plant invites applications from eligible candidates for the following posts the details of which are given below:

Upper Age Limit (As on 01.03.2012):- 28 years. Relaxation in upper age limit up to 35 years as on 01.03.2012 shall be admissible to ex-Trade Apprentices of Bokaro Steel Plant, who have passed the AITT under NCVT.

General conditions for the above Post: 1. Candidates not fulfilling the above criteria need not apply. 2. Reservations applicable for different categories shall be as per Presidential directives. Upper age limit is further relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST , 3 years for OBC candidates on production of caste certificate issued by Competent authority in the prescribed format as per given annexure. The OBC certificate including creamy layer status should have been issued recently. OBC candidates belonging to creamy layer should indicate their category as General and are not entitled to any relaxation/reservation. Relaxation/Reservation to Ex-serviceman will be as per govt. guidelines. Upper age limit for PH candidates is relaxable by 10 years. Any subsequent change in category will not be entertained under any circumstances. 3. The physically challenged candidates are required to produce disability certificate issued by the Medical Board duly constituted by the State Govt. / Central Govt. as per provisions of Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of rights and full participation) Act 1995. They have to satisfy the relaxed Physical Standard required for the posts. 4. Preference in selection for recruitment will be extended to candidates who have undergone Trade Apprentice Training in Bokaro Steel Plant and have passed AITT. 5. Preference to Local Displaced Persons shall be regulated in terms of the judgement dated 5th march 08 of Honble Supreme Court Civil Appeal No. 1774 of 2008. 6. PH reservation on horizontal basis, only for Orthopaedically Handicapped (OL: One Leg affected) , Hearing Handicapped (PD: Partially Deaf), Visually Handicapped (LV : Low Vision) candidates having more than 40 % disability. 7. Bokaro Steel Plant reserves the right to reject the applications that are not complete or do not conform to the eligibility requirements and no communication in this regard will be made with the applicants. 8. TrainingSelected candidates shall undergo training for the period of two years which may be extendable by another two years as per requirement. They shall continue to work as trainees and acquire various skills. On successful completion of training, they may be regularised as Attendantcum-Technician in S-1 grade in the pay scale of Rs 8630/-3 %-12080/-. 9. Consolidated payRs. 6600/-pm during 1st year and Rs 7700/-pm during the 2nd year of training. 10. The mode of selection shall include Written Test followed by Interview of shortlisted candidates. The date, time and venue of Written Test /Interview will be intimated later. 11. Candidates working in Govt./SemiGovt./Public Undertaking should apply through proper channel or should be able to produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer at the time of interview. 12. Candidates should have requisite academic qualification as prescribed from a recognised Institution at the time of application. 13. The criteria for selection shall be as follows:- The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The selection process will comprise of written test of 100 marks and Trade Test (Practical) of 100 marks. All eligible candidates will be called for an objective type written test. On the basis of merit of written test marks, candidates will be called for Trade Test (Practical Test) of 100 marks in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies. Final merit will be decided on the basis of combined marks in the written and practical test. In selection process, other things being equal i.e. marks being equal, trained ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factory, Kanpur and sister Ordnance Factories shall be given preference in the order in which they are stated. In between the trained Ex-Trade Apprentice of the Ordnance Factory, Kanpur preference shall be given to those who are senior i.e. if two or more Ex-Trade Apprentices secure the same marks then preference shall be given on the basis of seniority.
