Global warming (Cause and Effect) Global warming is the atmosphere surface become warmer and warmer.

If we do not concern on this problem, it will brings serious consequence in our society, including climate change. Scientists worry about that the living organisms may not adapt the environment because of rapidly climate change. Therefore, global warming is a global problem. Causes of global warming The earth surface is warmed by greenhouse effect, which is carried out by a complex process involving sunlight, gases and particles. Also, the gases trap heat in the atmosphere is greenhouse gases. The common greenhouse includes carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, CFCs and ozone. Especially effective gashouse gas is carbon dioxide. Therefore, increasing the human activities, more and more fossil fuels are burnt and the amount of carbon dioxide release to the atmosphere is increase. Impact of the global warming Rising sea level Since global warming will cause the polar icecaps melting, the sea level will rises from 0.09 to 0.88m during 1990 to 2100. Weather damage Global warming made the weather change extremely, thus the rainfall pattern changed. It will increase the change of flooding or drought in some areas. Therefore, some crop in the areas will decrease and cause economic loss. For example, Because of drought in Thailand in June 2010, the harvest of the rice crop is decreasing 60%. Harm to ocean life The temperature of the ocean become warmer, it increase the stress of the ocean ecology. At a high temperature, it can cause a damaging process called coral bleaching. Also, the increasing of temperature, it will make the chance of spreading disease larger. As mentioned as above, there is still a lot of impact of global warming bringing, like change of habitat, threaten human health. Therefore, we need to do something on the environment. Limited global warming Climatologists are suggested two ways to limit the global warming. First method is limiting the emissions of carbon dioxide. The other methods is prevents the carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere or remove the carbon dioxide that is already here. Government Set law to restrict the carbon dioxide releasing and plant more trees. It is because trees can absorb carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. Also, the government should put more resources on developing other energy instead of fossil fuel. The method can help to decreasing the usage of electricity, thus the burning of fossil fuel is decreasing, and therefore, the releasing of carbon dioxide is decreasing.
