I would like to introduce myself. I am a Indonesian doctor.

I am start to study and training in Taipei Hospital Taiwan since one year ago. I got scholarship from my government. Between my country and Taipei Hospital have cooperation. My government encourage all of student in Aceh to study abroad and after finished our study we will practice our experience in my country and the most important we to be open minded. I live in Aceh province, it is a part of Indonesian . So I would like to talk about some of my living experiences in Taiwan. But before any things else, I would like to say that Taiwan is a wonderful place, all of word mandarin language have a meaning, thrilling nature weather is nice, safe place to live and peaceful people. Since I got scholarship I thought, it is a good opportunity for me to try new live in Taiwan and will be an exciting new experience. It will be as rewarding as it will be challenging. It will expand my horizons . The first I come to Taiwan, I am curious not only city is different with my country, language were very difficult but also to found food can I eat in Taiwan because I am a muslim. I can not eat animal if the way of slaughtering this animal is not by muslim way, we called halal . I would have to start since I want to around the city. I need to take MRT, in my country have not the MRT. I think The Taipei MRT is an extremely convenient way to get around the city. There is a red, green, yellow, blue and brown line, most of which lead out to different parts of the city. To take busses and MRT student pay special price. Student receive a student Easy Card, the card you can recharge and swipe to ride busses and the MRT. The next day, my first experience to learning Mandarin. I thought that impossible to learn Mandarin for a foreigner because there is no A,B,C but characters and it was totally different from the other languages especially my language. when I started with the Mandarin classes that were very difficult, mostly to differentiate the pronounciations of every word that is written the same but you should give a different tone to it. Mandarin languages have four tones. I am really practicing the tones because I dont want to have any misunderstandings with anybody. I think Mandarin language is a exotic language. My teacher that I have Lin Laoshi, she good teaching method and a good teacher. She explains to me the difference in the teaching method of Mandarin, the Bopomofo and the hanyu pinyin. She also tells us a little bit of the Taiwanese culture. I was enjoying in my class. Honetly, it is not enough if only learn in the classes. More practice more better .I need to talk more with a Taiwanese but my friends is Taiwanese, they are too busy. So I and my best friend her name is Mursyida, we use to go to out and try to recognize the characters we learn in the class. When we can identify one of characters and actually understand the meaning, we start to jump in the street like a little kids. And now, I were sitting near some Taiwanese and they start talking to me and I was able to understand what they were saying and even answer. Now I was so happy and proud of my progress. My learning experience of Mandarin shows me that

mandarin is not that difficult or impossible to learn for a foreigner. If you have a good teaching method and a good teacher, you will be surprised by your progress. After mandarin classes, I and my friends also learned in Taipei Hospital. It was excellent training for me. The doctors teach us new things. I am happy that I have a useful time with a doctors to visit patients. I learned a lot from them. We have occasion to look out patient with the doctors and a doctors explain about a disease with us. We have not only take a report like a study case with a doctor but also we present in a seminar . All of my experience in Taiwan and my new knowledge will very advantageous to me and my country.
