Category Group Cooperation Beginning We did most of the work by ourselves, and we talked a little among our group members. Some group members did not complete any of the work. We had no leader so we just did our own thing. We only talked when we thought we needed to, but received little feedback. A few people tried very hard, but most didnt do much. We usually listened to what others were saying, but some either did not share ideas Developing We worked together most of the time, sharing information regularly. Everyone had a job to do but some jobs were incomplete. No one person was a leader so we usually helped each other get the job done. We talked about what we were doing. Process Reflection Description

Name Jed Cadle Project Part 1 Date 4/29/12

Creating your GUIDE FOR EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT ONLINE COURSE TEAMS could have been done as an individual. However, remember the goals of the project are: to allow you to apply the skills and knowledge of group dynamics to the virtual team environment; to allow you to practice the skills in a safe environment of peers who will provide you with constructive feedback and encouragement; and to provide the opportunity to be involved in the process of group dynamics. This requires that you reflect on how your team functioned and the process of interaction. The purpose of this reflection is to focus on these two aspects of the project. Please answer the following questions after you have completed the Group Project Evaluation Rubric and the Team Member Evaluation Rubric. Remember to apply the concepts of the content of the course. Note: Copy this table into a Word document and type in the boxes. The boxes will expand to meet your needs. 1. Specify the skills and knowledge that your team applied in completing this portion of the project. Briefly explain how the skills and knowledge helped you. Skills used - Committed, Collaborative, Communicative, Dependable, Clear unity of purpose, Inspiration, and Motivation from team members and team leaders. Using these skills and the knowledge obtained through this course so far, helped by giving our team the tools at hand to develop the best project we can. These skills and knowledge formed group leaders that were able to motive the team to giving their all. Allowing us to establish goals and maintain open communication amongst our team. 2. Explain any challenge(s) of accomplishing this task in your team. Briefly describe how you will address the challenge(s) for the next part of the project and on future team projects. The only challenges I have ran into is working two full time jobs, personal and family obligations, and being a full time student. I will address these challenges on the next project part by using better time management.

3. Describe those aspects of the process of your team that worked well. Please be specific so you will be able to recreate this positive process. Communication and leadership was the main process that worked for us. We had great communication skills amongst the team and our team leaders are the best at giving direction and following through with progress reports and keeping us on track.

Your Role on the Team

Name Jed Cadle Project Part 1 Date 4/29/12

One of the important aspects of the course project is the allocation of the tasks in a fair, effective and efficient manner. The team must decide the best way to allocate the tasks making sure that each topic is covered and each part is complete. While you do not have to play the same role for each part you must take a primary role in at least one part. The MINIMUM expectation for a member is that all members will be involved in: brainstorming of the project as a whole and of each part reviewing the part reviewing the feedback given by the instructor This form is to give you the opportunity to describe the role you played on this part. It is not possible to anticipate how your team determined and delegated the tasks. Please add additional roles or edit the ones listed to meet your needs. While most of the first section will fall in the first and last parts there may be mid-course corrections. Please only indicate your role. When considering your part in the team process, review the roles on page 83 and 84.
