THE TEACHING PROFESSION

This book is a humble response to the need for instructional materials in the Teaching Profession, a three-unit course of a new teacher education curriculum. It attempts to give the prospective professional teacher a comprehensive view of his/her multifarious task to enable him/her make an informed or give it up for a more lucrative one.

Chapter one of this book dwells on teachers as an individual number of society .chapter two describes classroom and the community teacher. Chapter three present the global teacher as one who can teach multicultural groups of children, is familiar with educational practices of selected countries of bench marking and adopt in the use of educational technology in order not to be left. Chapter four and five focuses on the history of the Philippines educational system, the professionalization of teaching and laws which has bearing on the life of the teacher.

A BRIEF DISCRIPTION OF SITE OF PRACTICE TEACHING

Pre- service education of teachers is key to achieving sustainable quality basic education since the Department of Education has the biggest stake in teachers pre-service program, it should demand for more rigorous classroom based training for future teachers.

This site of learning helps us to develop our abilities, skills, and attitudes for us to function effectively in an environment that is changing rapidly in many different ways. To become an effective teacher someday we need to be committed and dedicated to our work, and as a teacher we need to emerge in the life of different students we encounter, therefore before we enter the life of a real teacher we need to motivate and prepare ourselves first. This site of learning introduced us or enlightens us what is the reality in the field of teaching.

REFLECTION PAPER

NO PAIN NO GAIN

In engaging the pre-service teaching I encounter different circumstances. Luck of rest, no more time for food, and no more time to wash my clothes. Then I realized it is not really easy to become a teacher. Sometime it comes to my mind I will not pursue this study but I am already here almost at the end. Aside from these feelings I find also satisfaction inside my heart because I am important. In a way that my student love me more than there teacher, they are happy when they saw me in that case I worthy.

Therefore even though sometimes I feel anguish or pressure I still bear on my mind that if no pain no gain or shall we say you cant achieve something if we do nothing so I set a side those feelings and continue what am I doing. Because it is not for my own good but also to my family. For now I prayed that after graduation I gain something.
