In the beginning of days, when the Greek Gods had defeated the Titans and claimed Mount Olympus

as their sole home, they gave life to the four realm of the world. Pyralis was the realm of fire, Aither the realm of Air, Terram the realm of earth and Uisnech the realm of water. The four realms of the earth helped each other build up the lands, each realm held a powera gift of a god. Four Princess were born of each realm, four princess held the power of both a mortal and a godtherefore created the demi-god. The Oracle of the Gods was hidden deep in the mountains of Mount Olympus. When she is kidnapped by an unknown force, everything turns on the maidens of the realms. Now, the four maidens must unite to bring order back in the world. But before they do that, they must first agree to work with each other. When Serefina is betrayed and burns her realm, the Gods see this as a way to send her to the mortal world. Serefina was the princess of the flameborn as a gift from the Goddess Vesta, who took her from the hearth of the flame and gave her to the world of the demi-gods. Serefina had everything: beauty, strength, engagement to the Prince of Terram and above all the power of a Goddess, now she must face the one thing she never dreamed of facing: mortality.

Prologue
The Beginning of Days
The forest burned, the screams of women calling out to their children and men calling out to their women began to slowly fade. The darkness grew in the only figure left standing. Serefina knew as well as her people that angering her of all the princesses in The Four Realmswould definitely be troublesome. No one should ever anger the descendant of a Goddess, especially not Vesta, the goddess of the Sacred Fire and the Hearth. The fire engulfed the princess. Her armor, the gift of her Mentorglinted against the crackling fire. To her it seemed almost beautiful, the fire engulfing everything in her path. But somehow, the beauty was terrifying. Wrath comes with a price. In her palm she held a ball of flame. If anyone were still alive they would have seen the fury that shone against her green eyes. In one moment, she closed her eyes allowing a single tear escape and fall on the earth she once called home. Pyralis was burning to the ground. No-one will be left. She thought. Demitris! Come out with that little nymph and fight with your strength! Serefina cried to the empty forest. I will not let this betrayal pass! She growled. The fire started to disappear before her and she knew what was happening. The price of her wrath was coming. The earth began to tumble and she fell to her knees. In seconds, the fire was gone and replaced by grey skies and roaring thunder. Child! Is this what you will do to your realm!? IS THIS WHAT I SHALL RECEIVE FROM YOU? A booming voice cried from the heavens. Serefina saw her work. The place where children once played was replaced with bodies in the ground, smelling of flesh and ashes. Trees that were once green, replaced with blackened roots. Mother Vesta. Serefina said quietly. The rage in her eyes had melted away. Now she looked at the grey sky, she knew that everythingno, everyone, every God and Goddess saw her place destruction on a gift she was trusted on. My Child. The goddess simply said. There was no emotion in the Goddess voiceas always, it was filled with expectations and disappointment. Because the Goddess would never truly be satisfied. She always expected more from Serefina and Serefina always worked her hardest to please her Goddess. I had no choice. Serefina said bluntly. Everyone has a choice. Mortals more than anything and you are in the middle of our worlds therefore you of all should understand the limits! Mother Vesta, I was betrayed! I had no choice but to take action before someone could Could what Serefina!? You were to have a seat in the Court! You could have had a place with us all and you trade everything for a traitorous man and woman! Demitris didnt betray me! Its that sly nymph! Serefina screamed. And you still defend him?! Pyralis is your home and you chose to destroy it. Olympus will not take you nowI will not take you now. Serefina cried aloud. The rage disappeared and was replaced with grief, the kind of grief that can erase the pain from betrayal. The grief of losing a mother. Serefina sobbed and put her hands in her head. Mother, please. Give me another chance. I know of the chaos in Olympus. Give me quest, I swear that I will not disappoint you. Serefina said the words

slowly and quietly. Whatever Serefina wanted to sayquiet, loud or even unspokenthe Goddess would always know what she wanted. I cannot allow this Serefina. And why should I? Give me a reason. Serefina saw a loophole and stood up almost stumbling on her own feet. IYou know that Im the only one who can. The trouble in Olympus can only be solved from someone who can walk on the earth. I can do it! Call on Mother Aphrodite. Call on Father Ares. Serefina took a deep breath for she knew the words that would come out of her mouth could cause her life or destruction. You think that I do not have my own ears in the court? Though I am down here I know that the Oracle is missing. Send me to whatever realmwhatever dimension the Oracle is in and I shall find her. Serefina, do you know what you ask of me? You ask me to defy the rules of Olympus for a chance? You have not given me a reason. Youve only come to prove your stubbornness. Why should I call Aphrodite or Ares? The Goddess sounded a lot more interested. The grey in the sky began to disappear. Serefina kept on thinking of her next answer. I know of the child. I know that Mother Aphrodite and Father Ares will have a child through mortal vessels. I will make him mine and restore the peace between the Realms of Fire and Earth. Pyralis will be one with Terram. Is this not your wish? Her voice broke, and she knew that this was the final chance. Swear on the River Styx and then I will call Aphrodite and Ares for which you seek counsel. Vesta was challenging Serefina, asking Serefina if she would put even her soul for her peoplefor the future. I swear on the River Styx that I, Serefina, Daughter of Vesta and Keeper of the Flame will do everything in my power until I restore Pyralis to its glory. I swear it with my soul. Serefina was shaking as she said that. No one would swear on the River Styx unless they were serious. All the creatures in the Four Realms knew that swearing to the River Styx would mean giving your soul to Hades with only a small chance of getting it back. An ethereal mist of pinks and blues emerged from the horizon, it was beyond beautiful. As the tall figure of light approached Serefina, the burning forest looked brighter. The sky looked forgiving. Serefina, A sweet voice said. It was only ever that sweet voice that would bring light. The forest suddenly bright as a beautiful figure with long flowing hair walked. Her toga strapped perfectly, revealing all her curves. Her straight nose, plump pink lips, rosy cheeks and luminous grey eyes. It was Mother Aphrodite. What you wish for is hard to fulfill. With the reinforcements in Olympusadding this to Zeus and Heras road will only be more troublesome. What you have done is unknown to Olympus. But once the others find out that the strongest of the Four Realms has literally burned to the ground, I do not think that they will give much forgiveness. A loud thick voice said. Immediately she knew that she had Ares and Aphrodite as an audience. I know. Serefina said, putting both her hands in her stomach. But I know that the Oracle foretold another child. Though he will not be like Demitris, I know that he will carry immortal blood in him. Somehow it will happen. And I will make him mine as Ive failed to take Demitris. Aphrodite sank to her knees and wiped the tears in Serefinas eyes. The warmth radiating from the Goddess let Serefina feel lighter. The prophecy declares this in two thousand years. You wont exist anymore. This is not about the child in the prophecy. But the Oracle itself is missing, are you willing to add finding the child in prophecy and the Oracle? This will be too much. Even for you. I know what you can do. Please, this wont help me but it shall help Pyralis, it will save the Realm of fire. Serefina begged. The prophecy may be changed. Though this must require one thing. Aphrodite said sweetly. Im willing to sacrifice myself. Serefina said.

Swear it. Ares said. I swear on the River Styx, any punishment that will be given to me for this mission, I shall take it with honor. I swear on the River Styx, that I sacrifice myself. Serefina, Daughter of the Goddess Vesta, Sole Heir to Pyralis, Keeper of the Flame to whatever measure I must take to save Pyralis, myself and my people. I swear to find the Oracle of Olympus and restore the Four Realms. Then it is done. Chapter One Darkness present day 2012 It was the burning sensation in the pit of her stomach that woke her. Her eyes burning and as she finally opened them the heat was gone. All that was left was a white room. The walls painted white, the doora faded blue with a single rectangular window, to the left was a window covered with the white drapes and to her right was a single block table a pitcher of water and an empty glass. There was only one thing that made a sound in the quiet room, apart from Serefinas heavy breathing, was a small white box that beeped with a green line going up and down very fast. Serefinas eyes focused on where she lay. This is your sacrifice. She felt someone whisper in her ear. What? The door opened and a woman in blue clothes smiled at her softly. Youre finally awake. We were unsure of what happened to you. Welcome back. Her black hair was twisted into a bun which left her thin oval face open, she was beautiful of course, thick black lashes, a small nose and thick lips. Her caramel colored skin was pretty and Serefina looked at her with curiosity. Where am I? Was the first thing Serefina said as the woman pressed numerous buttons in the white box, whilst the sound of the beeping finally disappeared. This is Lennox Hill Hospital. You were found wandering unconscious in the street last week by Mr. Harper, hes at work right now but told us to take very special care of you. Im your personal Nurse. Everyone here calls me Carmen. She smiled flashing Serefina a set of straight, white teeth. Serefina thought of something in her head but it quickly vanished in time for her not to recall what it was. We did CT Scans and it seems that nothing is wrong with you, youre bones are strong and you have no bruises, you dont seem to be lacking in nutrition so Mr. Harper quickly thought of bringing you here, we didnt understand why you wouldnt wake up so you were in the ICU for a fair while. I dont understand. Whowho am I? Oh, Carmen sounded nervous to Serefina who couldnt help but feel nervous herself at her surroundings. Did she really belong there? Can you tell me your name? We have to do this as slow as possible and try to get whatever information we can about you. Carmen grabbed a chair and sat beside her. I think my name is Serefina. Though she didnt understand who she was it was a name that rang loudly in her head. Your age, where you live and anything you remember about yourself or your life. Carmen looked at Serefina with kind eyes. I dont know. I cant remember anything. ***

Jarrod, she doesnt remember herself. Shes frightened of everything. She didnt even know what my phone was Carmen said across the room with a black box in her hand. She told Serefina that the device was used to call people. Serefina wondered if it was like a whispered message. Only she didnt even know what a whispered message was. Yes, of course. Adam, wants to see her doesnt he? Carmen shook her head. Let him see her, I know he wants to see the girl he found alive and well. I dont mind staying here for tonight. Until Adam comes. Finally she nodded. Yes. I will thank you. Before she took the device from her ear, she said Wait! I thought you would both like to know her name. Its Serefina. Who was that? Serefina asked tilting her head. Carmen felt sorry for Serefina. A pretty girl like this, with no memory? She was lucky it was Adam who found her. She thought to herself. Serefina had green eyes, scary green eyes the color of the grass in Central Park, and she had pinkest cheeks, a straight nose and the longest red hair that fell to her waist. Her white skin contrasted her green eyes and red hair. She almost looked unreal. Like one of Adams anime drawings come to life. She thought again. Carmen couldnt help but feel horrible for Serefina. Not knowing who she was or where she was. Or even what a phone wasCarmen sighed. Her motherly instincts took over, she knew that she wanted to help Serefina no matter what. That was Jar Mr. Harper, his son Adam, found you first. They brought you here and they want to help you find your family. How very unlikely. Serefina thought, but didnt know why. How can those people help me? They are very generous people. They host help for teenagers in Lennox Hill Hospital all the time, finding rehabilitation, homes for orphaned children, or in your casefinding and calling out to lost childrens families. They help over twenty teenagers every year. Carmen sounded as if she knew everything about those people. But how do you know so much about them, Carmen? Serefinas voice sounded scared but also balanced with something acidic, but looking at her now, the only intensity was in Serefinas green eyes. They blazed like fire, the same as her hair, but she looked completely scared and innocent. Jarrod was my husband, Adam is my child. I say were married because it didnt really work out. Adammy son. Hes a very good child. One of the best. He studies at Xavier High School, an honor student, Im proud to say. Carmen looked flushed. She looked caught in a memory. How will they help me? Such short questions, well the first thing they do is get you discharged from this hospital, you seem to be fine now so I have to do your papers later. Then they will take you to their building. Their home is at the very, very top and its as big as any real house would be, except more mechanical. Jarrod is one of the leading mechanics of his time, learning from Anthony Cleave himself. He prides his work and lets his only son go to the finest school with the finest care. I chip in with the love Carmen laughed quietly to herself. Hmm, they will take you under their wing for as long as it takes to find your home, and they will see to it that youre okay for the next couple of months before they fully let you go. YouYoure going to give me to those people? I will occasionally come to check up on you. Dont worry, Adam is a good boy. He was so worried the whole time they were doing CT scans on you. Dont worry. Youll be okay. Somehow, Serefina thought to herself Somehow, I dont think thats the case.
