A. DESCRIPTION OF THE LEARNER: Mrs. X, a 25 year old female, ambulatory was admitted to the hospital due to RLQ pain.

She is scheduled for emergency exploratory laparotomy with possible appendectomy. She verbalized that it is her first time to undergo an operation. She also stated that she is worried that her wound would not heal fast and that she would want to know methods on how she would be able to help her wound heal faster and easier. The patient is a college graduate and is currently working as a secretary in the office. She is able to understand English and Tagalog. The patient does not have any physical or psychological disabilities which may hinder her learning. B. LEARNING NEED: Expand clients knowledge on proper nutrition for better wound healing C. LEARNING DIAGNOSIS: Knowledge deficit: on proper nutrition for better wound healing related to lack of exposure as verbalized by the patient. D. TIME ALLOTMENT: 10-15 minutes with brochure as provided Learning Objectives After 3-5 minutes of interaction, the patient will be able to: 1.
