Prayer for Our Men and Women in Military Service

O Prince of Peace, we humbly ask Your protection for all our men and women in military service. Give them unflinching courage to defend with honor, dignity and devotion the rights of all who are imperiled by injustice and evil. Guard our churches, our homes, our schools, our hospitals, our factories, our buildings, and all those within from harm and peril. Protect our land and its peoples from enemies within and without. Grant peace with victory founded upon justice. Instill in the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere a firm purpose to live forever in peace and good will toward all. Amen

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank our many chair people for this years Country fair. Every year we put in a thank you but we cannot find the words to truly express our gratitude for all that you do and the many commitments you put aside to help with this large endeavor. We know the many hours of hard work that go in to preparing for the fair, and all the hours you spend during the fair to make it such a success. We appreciate all that you do and for some, the many years of dedication you have given to it. Without all of you the fair would not be the huge success that it has become. We hope you all have a relaxing and restful summer and we will see you in January at the first start up meeting for the fair. We hope we have not forgotten anyone who has helped us if we have, please forgive us. Sometimes people we dont even know show up, to pitch in, and help us out. We try our best to thank everyone for all their help. We are extremely grateful for all the help that we do get. Our setup crew this year was great they all worked fast and everything went smoothly. Our clean-up crew, which wasnt many, seemed to all, to know what they were doing, and it was one of the quickest cleanups we have had over the years. We cannot thank you enough. We also cannot forget the 8th graders from the Academy for all their hard work. They save us a great deal of time. A special thank you to Mr. Tom Berrios and the teachers of the Academy for letting the children help us and for all the volunteering you did to help make the fair a great success. Many thanks to all of the volunteers, some who worked countless hours to man those booths. There are many people who help us in many different ways; some of them help behind the scenes. Like our finance man Leon Drone know one realizes how much time he puts into this fair by having everything ready for start-up and keeping all the deposits straight to make sure the right money is credited to the correct department. It isnt an easy job that he has done for many more years then us. We just want him to know we appreciate all that he does for us in trying to make our job easier. And Joanne I cant forget you and how much time you take to make sure I get my bulletins and flyers in on time. She has kept me on schedule with her gentle reminders. I know we can always count on you to keep us going. Thank you for everything you have done to help us. We cant thank everyone enough for all that you do for us; without you we would not be able to do what we do! Thank you one and all for another great year and successful one. We hope to work with you all again next year! Jim & Debbie Johnston 2012 Chairpersons
