Diploma In Electrical Engineering Power (EE112) 3. Diploma In Electrical Engineering - Instrumentation (EE113) 3 Lecture (2 hours/week) Laboratory (2 hours/week) Tutorial ( 1 hour/week) Core Subject None This course deals with the first part of the Physics syllabus. It introduces, : describes and explains the basic concepts and applications of topics in Newtonian mechanics, properties of mater, vibration and waves, heat and thermodynamics. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: : 1. State, write and explain the concepts, laws and theories in mechanics and heat. 2. Verbally, visually (pictures & graphs) and algebraically relate and discuss the concepts, laws and theories in mechanics and heat. 3. Verify, assess & employ the concepts, laws and theories in mechanics and heat to solve qualitative & quantitative problems visually, algebraically and occasionally, numerically. 4. Observe plan, conduct, and report scientific investigations in areas of mechanics and heat. 5. Communicate to peers verbally and to the facilitator in writing, the science investigations and justification in areas of mechanics and heat. 6. Collaborate, motivate and truthful with team members in both the labs and in the classroom
