SAP ESO Process

This policy applies to: John Deere Horicon Works Downtown 101 Swan Road

1. SAP ESO Creation Production and Indirect Material a. Individual must be SAP ESO trained b. Individual must have DOT Hazardous Material Awareness c. Production & Indirect Material will be Classified as Environmentally Relevant by i. ii. Chemical Approval Process or Hazardous Material Specialist

2. ESO Creator must complete the following: a. Identify if material is hazardous i. If shipping both hazardous and non-hazardous materials to the same address, two separate ESO need to be created ii. If material is hazardous and SAP system has material classified as Environmentally Relevant the ESO will be routed to Hazmat reviewer, even if ESO Creator answers No to hazardous material question iii. If in doubt ask the Environmental Department b. c. Click on Information ICON for hazardous material examples Identify and Answer Dangerous Goods (DG) Indicator Profile

JOHN DEERE HORICON WORKS 3. Hazardous Material ESO when released will be routed to Hazardous Reviewer SAP Workflow In-basket. a. Hazardous Material Coordinator will verify material is hazardous for approval or rejection b. Hazardous Material Coordinator will enter Use Manual Hazardous Material Bill of Lading in the Long Text area until SAP Bill of Lading meets federal requirements. 4. 5. Determine if the goods are hazardous or not After reviewing the material, the material is deemed NOT to be hazardous; the ESO should be rejected and returned to the originator to resubmit. To reject, select 6. . If the material is hazardous, enter the placard information on the header of the ESO.

Go to the Materials Tab. The Hazmat coordinator needs to enter material information about each of the materials in the ESO. To do so, select the gray box before the row.

Then select Go to the bottom of the material details screen and enter the hazmat information. See the local hazmat coordinator for additional information. 1. Select the long text icon in the Hazard Details area.

2. Enter the appropriate information based on the materials being shipped. Save the text by selecting the Save icon.

7. Once all of the information is entered, the ESO can be approved by selecting . If the items cannot be shipped as requested, the Hazmat Coordinator could also reject the ESO by selecting . If the ESO is approved, it will continue to the Cost Center Approver. If rejected, it will return to the creator. 8. Confirm the approval by selecting Yes on the pop-up screen

9. Select the long text icon in the Hazard Details area

a) Hazardous Material Coordinator will determine what placards are required and enter into Placard Section
