Matthew 7:1-5

Do not judge, or you too will be judged.2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

What kind of judgment Jesus Condemned?

Judging when one is blind to his or her faults (Matt.7:3-5)

Judging without mercy- (Luke 6:3637)

If we make judgments without showing mercy, then no mercy will be shown when we are judged!

The point of judgment about which Jesus is referring is when the one judging has a fault within his life bigger than the fault in the life of the one whom he is judging. So this person is being a hypocrite in judging. That is the kind of judging that Jesus is condemning.

JESUS IMPLIES THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WE MUST MAKE JUDGMENTS!

It is after we have corrected our own faults Matthew 7:5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from

7/23/12

Yes- if it is a righteous judgment

We, as Christians, have obligations to judge certain situations. Jesus taught us to do this in regard to false teachers, people who are not living morally, and those who have proven themselves unworthy of the

gospel.

Noif it judgement

Jesus also taught us not to judge inappropriately. We should not judge hypocritically. We should not judge unrighteously, and we should not judge in a condemnatory fashion.
