Major Findings of First Self-assessment in the frames of DIUSAS


The academy had no QA network and QA policy; The Academy has to work out a policy and follow up procedures for approval and monitoring of the academic programs; The Academy has to have a written policy for quality assurance of the teaching staff; The Academy has to improve its information systems; The Academy has to revise its public information policy.

Purpose of the questionnaires


to explore the effectiveness of the means of getting information; to find out the most popular/common ways of getting information among the stakeholders; to find out how the information provided by YSAFA works, whether the stakeholders get sufficient information about YSAFAs activities; to find out what missing information the stakeholders are interested in and by which means they would like to get regular information.

The Major Findings: - Only 40% are satisfied with the provided information; - The students have no access to the Academy guide; - Academy has no PR policy for presentations by Mass media; - The students need face-to-face meetings with top management of the Academy; - The students request to insert Academys financial report in the information sources of the Academy.

The Major Findings: - The applicants need more detailed information about the demands of the entrance exams; - The applicants need more detailed information about the assessment of the entrance exams; - The Academy has a poor PR policy for the potential applicants and has to organize meetings and presentations for the pupils of high schools.

Future Changes in YSAFA PI Policy


YSAFA needs to:
clarify mass media venues and the dissemination channels for advertising the Academys activities which will also conduce/promote applicants stream to the Academy; increase the circulation of the guides edition and distribute it among the students; insert its financial report in its official information sources to ensure its activitys transparency; provide more detailed information about the entrance exams demands and assessment;

Future Changes in YSAFA PI Policy


YSAFA needs to:

create mechanisms for attracting pupils of higher schools to come and study in Academy. review the list of the potential employers and to present Academys activity to them. invite them to the shows of the students creative works /exams/, to sign contracts with the employers, to provide with information about Academys graduates skills and qualifications; sign cooperation contracts with the employers; work out feedback mechanisms for graduates; create career center.

The significant achievements of the Academys participation in TEMPUS DIUSAS


Establishment of the Quality Assurance Department in
YSAFA; Equipped QA office (equipping of the office was financed by TEMPUS project); Creation of QA network in YSAFA.
