Summarize the essence of the job Includes only jobs major functions or activities Make clear that the employer expects the job incumbent to carry out his or her duties efficiently, attentively and conscientiously.

Responsibilities & Duties


Heart of Job description A listing of the jobs major responsibilities and duties (essential functions) Defines limits of jobholders decision-making authority, direct supervision, and budgetary limitations A manager may know about his job duties from the job analysis or from various sources of standardized job description.

1.Job Title- Staff Nurse Definition of Position-A staff nurse assists a physician in a hospital and provides professional nursing care. He has to protect, give advice and promote health issues and show how to take care of ones health, especially if the patient suffers from any major illness. He has to prevent illness and injury and advocate the care of individuals and communities. Qualification requirement- Bachelor of Nursing degree holder; with one (1) year related experience. Job summary - Under general direction, manages and directsnursing care activities and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Education level- Bachelor of Nursing degree

3.Performance Description Performance Responsibilities i.Ensures efficient and coordinated clinic flow by coordinatingand planning clinic activities; communicates patients needs;makes referrals; serves as a resource person of suranceinformation. ii.Delivers direct patient care; assesses patients physical,psychosocial and/or emotional needs; provides patient andfamily teaching; triages patients and informs physician of patient status; responds to phone messages from patientsand informs physicians as needed; orders supplies; stocksand maintains patients rooms; sterilizes instruments. iii.Administers medications as assigned; serves as a resourceperson for knowledge of medication uses, side effects, anddosage; checks for proper medication order; documentsmedications; obtains required consent forms to administer
