and disadvantages Applications Other display systems Conclusion

Heliodisplay is a technology developed by Chad Dyner, CEO for IO2 Technologies. technology used for displaying images in thin air is called Heliodisplay.

1. Base Unit

2. Projection Source

AIR

AIR HEAT PUMP Cools it to a level below its dew point STORES THE CONDENSED PARTICLE CLOUD PROJECTION SCREEN

For creating artificial screens

Screen created by an invisible layer of fine water vapour

AIR

The device converts the imaging properties of the air so that the air is taken in, converted instantaneously, and then reejected out The system thus creates a dynamic, non solid particle cloud which is invisible. Now the projector projects the given input on the found invisible screen

No

screen to project images Device is light weight and can be converted into a furniture Nothing is added to air. Heliodisplay does not create fog, so no electronic devices in the room are affected Heliodisplay Dual Viewing No special glasses required to see the display Translucency is controlled by the heliodisplay

Heliodisplay

is very expensive Viewing a Heliodisplay image in direct sunlight is almost impossible Screen is essentially air, so it can become distorted with too much air movement in the room

The Fog Screen uses fog as a projection surface, creating an image floating in thin air.

A real 3D image is generated by Perspecta display, which draws 2D images on a quickly rotating screen to fill the entire volume swept out by its path

The DepthCube z1024 3D Display is a rearprojection volumetric display

In this video projector sends a series of 3D image slices into a 3D projection volume.

Heliodisplay

has great potential and would be ideal for collaborative work Heliodisplays is still in the initial stages and the flaws of cost and environment of positioning will soon be overcome. Several other thin air-displays are available but heliodisplay outclasses them, because of the attention it draws and its maintainability, and as a result it has more market value Its various applications such as in advertising, a board room etc suggests that its future scope is very bright.
