Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test is organized for admission into the first year of BTech, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPharm, BSc (Nursing), BPT and BSc (MLT) degree courses offered at the various government sponsored colleges.

About CENTAC JET 2013: The Centralized

Admission Committee (CENTAC) Pondicherry conducts CENTAC JET to provide admissions to the eligible candidates to various courses in engineering in the colleges in the state.

Eligibility
The candidates applying for B.Tech courses must have

completed their 12th standard from a recognized board in the country.

The minimum mark requirement for the candidates is an

aggregate of 50%.
The candidates must have studied Physics and Maths

along with one of the optional subjects- Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science or Biotechnology.
The candidates must complete 17 years in the year of

applying and the candidates above the age of 21 years are not eligible to apply for the courses.

Selection Procedure
The selection of the candidates is based on their

performance and rank in the CENTAC along with the marks obtained by the candidate in his/her 12th board examination. CENTAC JET 2013 Paper Pattern
The entrance exam will have three papers. 1. The first paper is with 60 questions. 2. The second paper is physical sciences with 80 questions

(40 in Physics and 40 in Chemistry).

3. The third paper is Biology with 100 questions (50 in

Zoology and 50 in Botany).

Counselling Procedure
Venue: CENTAC office, Chemical Engineering Block, Pondicherry

Engineering College (PEC), Pillaichavady, Puducherry -605 01

Counselling schedules will be intimated through call letters or a

public notification in local newspapers

It will also be published on the official web site of CENTAC. Eligible candidates may appear for counselling according to their

cut-off mark, two hours before the counselling session along with their original certificates for verification irrespective of receipt of individual communication

Verification of Original Certificates

Candidates shall be required to submit all the

documents in original for verification at the time of counselling.

The original documents submitted by the

candidates will be returned only after obtaining recognition from the respective Universities.
Candidates therefore are advised to take a

sufficient number of photocopies needed for counselling and admission

Counselling Fee
A counseling fee of Rs.850 (Rs.350 for SC/ST) will be

collected from each candidate.

The fees will be forfeited only on selection of seat in the

first counseling
Note: This is valid for the first counselling round only. For subsequent counselling sessions, a non-refundable

counseling fee of Rs.750/-(Rs 300 for SC/ST) shall be collected irrespective of selection of seat. The counseling fee should be in the form of 'Demand Draft' drawn in favour of The Convenor, CENTAC, payable at Puducherry.
