Module 2 Overview of APQP Assessment module

GM 1927-7 APQP Assessment Process formerly called Risk Assessment Input into GQTS required within 30 days after contract issuance for a part. APQP Assessment module allows the user to assign impact ratings for the various supplier situation categories as listed in the GM 1927-7. This is done by selecting one or more descriptor statements that reflect the Supplier situation for each Assessment category. GQTS then calculates an overall Assessment impact score, and designates the APQP Support type as Customer- monitored or Supplier- monitored , based upon that score. The module allows the user to generate / print a summary Assessment report / substitute GM 1927-7 document.

Module 5 Additional User Activities Customer- / Supplier- monitor Override, Update

GM/ JV users with GQTS Create capability can change the APQP Support Level determined by the GQTS-calculated Impact . For example: If the Impact score determines that the APQP Level should be Supplier-monitored, but special circumstances warrant that the Level should be Customer- monitored, the authorized user can execute an override which will change the Support Level from Supplier-monitored to

Customer-monitored.

GM/ JV users with GQTS Override capability can also update an Assessment record. If a user selected a category element and SAVED that choice as part of the Assessment in error, a user with the GQTS Override role can access the Assessment, change that category element, and update the Assessment, by choosing the [Create/ Update] Action option.

The APQP Assessment screen allows you to: Create a new Assessment by selecting Assessment category descriptors. GQTS will calculate the Assessment Impact Score based upon the values assigned to those descriptors. The Impact Score also determines the APQP Support Level: Customer- or Supplier- monitored. Add / Remove parts from an existing Assessment View and Print Assessment details. User can change the APQP Support Level previously determined by GQTS. Authorized users can change category elements in an exisitng Assessment.
