Introduction
All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are frequently used for off-road

driving, including agricultural and traction work, and there is a strong demand for easy operation.
ATs waste engine power in the transmission mechanism, resulting

in a degradation of fuel consumption and dynamic performance, so they developed a dual-clutch transmission for ATVs.
The dual-clutch transmission provides better fuel consumption

and dynamic performance than other ATs.

Noise
The hammering noise from the dog clutch mainly results from the rotational kinetic energy caused by the difference between the rotating speeds of gear and shifter when the dog clutch is engaged. This rotational kinetic energy is transduced into noise and heat generated at the collision of the dog and the pocket.

Result

Result
A dual-clutch transmission utilizing a gear train with dog

clutch was developed successfully. Hammering noise caused by the engagement of the dogclutch was reduced by control of the motor-driven shift and gear shift mechanisms. The basic design of the gear is the same as that in a MT, though the main shaft structure and the layout of gear stages are different. A dual-clutch transmission using a gear shift mechanism with shift drum was developed successfully. The clutch, transmission axis, and gear shift axis are the same as those in a MT.

Introduction
At present, there are no clear criteria to judge the quality of shift

quality and shift control effect about DCT . That is, based on the shock of degree, work of slipping which is produced by transmission system to assessment the shift quality roughly.
This paper took the research on shift quality evaluation and

optimization of a DCT prototype, on the one hand, the control target and control method On the other hand, it is optimized the control strategy and control algorithm of DCT system.

Shift quality evaluation

Guaranteeing the vehicle dynamic performance and the

life time of power transmission system, shifted quickly and smoothly and meet comfort requirements.
Large fluctuations, flutter, flame out and destroy the

smooth of shifting if the clutch engaging too fast; To the contrary, if the clutch engaging too slow, the slipping work will increase quickly and reducing the clutch service life.

1st paper1. Control of hammering noise-

Methods are available to minimize the impact energy of dog-clutch engagement to be absorbed Decreasing the inertial mass of the shifter system Decreasing the ratio difference Decreasing the difference in rotational speed 2. How do we control pre-shift mechanism. The feed control of motor-driven shifting is divided into eight steps to accommodate the above mechanism, and the motor output (Duty value) and time are controlled for each step.

3. Why were they not using the synchronization mechanism.

The synchronization mechanism leads to a larger transmission size, heavier weight, and a cost increase due to the increased number of parts.
