Nur Iylia Binti Che Nasir Qurratu Aini Binti Che Mansor Safia Aqila Binti Azhar

Checklist
It is advisable to design our own checklist so that it is specifically related to the purpose and can help collect information needed. It is very important
to know how well the children can master the skills they learn. to observe childrens behavioural aspect.

Weaknesses: Did not concern about the context of the behaviour occur and individual differences. Observation only focus on the skills that have not been mastered by the children and not what have been achieved by them. As a result, some children will have low-self esteem because they feel unskilful compared to others. For example : did not know how to cut using scissors properly.

Observer will know about childrens development including physical, cognitive, social and emotional aspects.

Or other daily activities.

A short explanation about the photographs is needed for the background information of the situation in the photographs.

Nowadays, digital camera can be use to capture every moment of the childrens emotion in any activities. We can print some of the photographs and keep the rest of them in soft copy in a CD.

Audio and Video Recording

~ Video Recording ~
A video recorder can be used to record every movement of the pupils whether it is intentional or unintentional. The pupils should be let known the purposes and the time of the recording.

The recordings can be displayed during special events like Sports Day, Speech Day, and soon. Through video footage, teachers can identify their movements and styles during the T&L process.

~ Audio Recording ~
Through video recording, pupils can learn and enhance their speaking or oral skill. Time must be allocated to analyze the recordings in order to maximize the educational value contained.

Through audio footage, teachers could identify the rate of speech during the lesson, the tone of voice used when speaking with certain children, how direction is given, etc.

What to be considered to do audio or video recording?

1) The condition of the recorder 2) Technical support 3) Pupils; the readiness and cooperation

Conclusion
Regular teacher plays an important role in helping the counselor to acquire the pupils early childhood profile through two ways. Both testing and non-testing techniques are mutually complementary. When they are used together, comprehensive information on the children will be available.
