Skills Audit
A skills audit is a review of your existing skills against
the skills you need both now and in the future.
It can help you to identify your existing skills, identify
what skills you may need to carry out your existing work
and role more effectively and to plan,
Develop and improve the skills and knowledge needed
for your future career.

Carrying out a skills audit is a five stage process:

Objectives of PDP should be
smarter
Specific: What exactly do you hope to achieve, and in what
contexts? Can it be broken down into smaller, more specific steps?
Measurable: How will you recognize success in pursuing the
objective? How will you measure your progress along the way?
Agreed. Whose support or authority do you need to pursue the
objective?
Realistic. Are you able to achieve the objective within the constraints
of your
current abilities and commitments, your available time and
resources?
Time-bounded. By what date do you want to achieve the objective?
Evaluated. Is the objective worth pursuing, given the investment in
time or effort it will require?
Reviewed. When and how will you review your progress?
